I've spoken to someone very high up in Gigabyte, and I've been assured while they were slow to respond, they ARE supporting RMA in the UK if you want it.

If you are having no joy you should contact them directly as I did.

I support that link from first thread should be updated as all manufacturers are now supporting RMAs..

I was all ready to avoid Gigabyte at all costs for any future purchase, when I received a call on Friday I finished the call feeling much happier with Gigabyte. 180 degree turnaround as far as I'm concerned. Like the saying goes, better late than never.

Discussing 970 and 290x power consumption here are my findings owning both

970 first then 290x (total system power)

Idle (Desktop) 84w - 85w
Fire Strike Bench 295w - 330w
TR Bench 270w - 340w
Sniper E III Bench 290w - 350w
1 game of WoT 250w - 285w

To those of you who have returned your cards to OCUK, can I ask if they refunded the entire amount? Even if they gamevoucher wasn't there?

From reading, it seems they deduct £10 for the voucher. For some it was £20 but a quick note in CS got them their £10 back. Due to the volume of traffic with the 970 fiasco as well as normal business operations, I reckon it's been a busy few weeks at OCUK HQ so some mistakes are bound to happen. OCUK are more than happy to sort anything out as......

OcUK & Caseking believes customer is King!

EDIT:

I believe it costs you £10 per code

You're on the ball ;). Can't say the same for yesterday with that PS4 option :p.

Thanks. I have not bought my card from OCUK, i live in Denmark, but the danish retailer claim £30 for the voucher, which i find absurd..

So just wanted to hear what OCUK charge for it:)

:( That's crazy and shows OCUK again to be a class act.

If you enjoy anything from the voucher then try and think of pro/con but if not, I'm sorry you were stung like that.

I am enjoying it at times, but honestly i just think it's too much regardless. I just wrote them an e-mail, questioning the decision.

What where your options with Gigabyte ? im waiting for the call before i send mine back to OC, Would rather deal with Gigabyte if they not supporting OC that well

Well the reason they got in contact was because at the time another etailer (S**n) where not playing ball citing Gigabyte as being non-cooperative. Igot offered nothing other than helping with the RMA as i was told they (gigabyte) don't have a trade up program in place. Still good to know if I wanted to RMA and was still having issues, they'd step in.
