I have a similar problem, which is most obvious on kubra dam its the actual cliffs it looks like they r morphing as well.

I get that morphing thing as well, the ground seems to fill itself in at times, well weird but nothing big really.

How do people rate the attack choppers for handling, I think the MEC one is best then USA and china one is a bit crap

They all feel pretty much the same for me. Except MEC one tends to pull its nose down when you land and the gunner chaingun seems to do more damage than others but at a slower firing rate.

I cant hit anything when i am flying the attack chopper, but in a plane i can, maybe its cause i use the mouse and keyboard to fly????

Iam the oppisite but mouse and keys is fine 90% of the time for the heli. Your need to have the sensitivity different for heli, probably a higher value. Practise flying around the carrier in a BH to start with

Is it possible to use a joypad just for the air vehicles then? That would be quite handy...

yeah the mec chopper gun absolutley owns, u can kills mass amounts of infantry with it. The chinese one is pathetic though, the other day i was in the gunner seat and i tried to shoot one infantryman for about 30 seconds and couldn't kill him.

lol try using the the chinese BH gun, i think ive had one kill with it so far, but the usa BH gun, blow me that thing kills nearly everything, tanks and people almost instantly!

I have my joypad setup for planes but its less precise then a mouse so I use that plus adsw keys for the heli. I think the game actually requires a good joystick but even if I had the money I wouldnt know what one to get, some are probably worse then a joypad.

what gives...my old pc shopws the version as 1.1.2xxx
setup new pc and the only update is 1.0.2

so cant get any servers to show apart from 4!!!!!!!!!! cause all the 0thers are running different versions?????????????????

Yep the patch versions don't represent the game revision.
Make sure you do have v1.02 applied though.

right guys, i need some advice re hardware for a system that wants to able to play bf2.
its a amd64 2.4ghz, 1gb of ram and a 9800pro.

will i have any chance of getting it to be playable?

Yes, 9800 Pro runs it fine at 1024 high/medium, or 1280x960 low/medium

Yes that should run fine on medium dude, i wouldnt recommend you put it on high though, as your slightly aged Graphics card may not be able to handel the heat when u play for long hours.
