It's now available for download over Bittorrent, but if you install it it brweaks your BF2 as it updates the whole engine to Ver 1.1!

They have a pass through for your speakers, so shouldn't be an issue.

What do you mean it breaks BF2 surely you can still play BF2, just not on 1.3 servers?

If you don't get BF2:SF you have to download the patch so that all the version numbers are correct. If you get BF2:SF everything is all done for you.

It's because BF2 SF hasn't been released yet, when it's officially released the patch will solve this problem, its so people who knick it off EA can't play BF2 until sf is properly released.

What time is the download being activated on Thursday does anyone know. Also are there any benefits to buying the actual game rather than use the download.
Apart from a little box of course.

your better off buying it, get the box and a hard copy for a few buck extra.

oh i have been meaning to ask this! - how do you do that dive roll in BF2? i keep seeing dudes pull it off and shoot me at the same time.

The new patch server files are out, so the patch might be coming tonight.

You don't actually dive roll, it's just a third person animation. It happens when you strafe and go prone at the same time.

Any ideas on how major the patch is? Just a couple of bug fixes or anything added?

I heard there are no fixes, just added SF stuff so you can play on both servers.
