i always use single shot when at a distance as the accuracy is far improved.
burst mode is good for closer combat and altho obvious always aim at the head
these two guns are still the most deadly weapons in the game ;-

I agree those weapons are accurate to a point.
I use the SA80 as it is amazing accurate in single shot mode. Though the damage is less than the AK47. The SA80 it is far more accurate, and to do any damage you need to hit them 1st. thats what counts really !

The standard Ak is really the best gun in the game, it covers every distance well enough and is unbeatable up close. It is inaccurate but this can be accounted for and if your jumping around and spinning in circles being surprised by enemies, slight advantages in accuracy mean little and the damage it does is great.

I only use the sa80 when iam usmc mainly for its full auto but the scope is good too

try and find my ss of me turning round to see where the plane is coming from and grabbed a ss just as the bomb landed straight on me and my squad lol

I'm getting a widescreen monitor soon (If OcUK sort out their customer verification thing :rolleyes:

) and was just wondering what the widescreen support is like?

Will I have to run BF2 non-widescreen for the pic not to be stretched?

I can;t get my 7800gt to run it in 1680x1050.

the option to select it to run at my monitor native res doesn;t come up in the bf2 video menu

Looks like I have to upgrade the gfx card. :mad:

You need to add a bit to the BF2 shortcut, it doesn't appear in the video menu.

I just ordered BF2, and my mate already has it. Is there any way for us to talk to each other over a headset, in game, without other people hearing us? As we're both glaswegian we've found a lot of people dont understand us and we just rather not have the attention... is there any way of keeping it private?

theres a Voip so create a squad invite him and lock it so no one else can enter, then use B to talk insquad.

Create a squad at the start of the game and you can lock it and kick unwanted members, you can rename it scotties

or something so people know your not just stat padders or whatever

might be a good investment if both of you chip in for your own private Ventrilo server.
its a cheap unobtrusive piece of voicecom software that runs in the background allowing you to talk freely without pressing buttons to talk.
you can use it for any game out there or use it just to chin wag

** think it costs us £20 a year to rent it which is buttons tbh and i think you can dwload a free copy to test **

Me and my mates just use skype. We start skype before loading BF2. Works pretty well.

I was playing with on a server and I joined their squad. And their accents were really heavy.

But we still did okay.

You should have seen this guy we squadded with last night he was a total loony. And he was from the UK.

I think his bf2 username was hypermobil or something like that. But he seems to recognise us lot.

Can anyone remember what thee command line is so that I can force bf2 to run at higher res. I am trying to get it to run at 1680x1050 or is that not possible using a 7800gt?
