64 bit linux?

Xp will be installed but we'll see how it copes, the server is hosted on a sooper dooper connection at present.

The current server is handling dc with 40 players at present (XP 2100+, 1gb 3200 ram, XP), it seems to be fine, I mean the other night was crazy and fun at the same time!

This is what i found about it.

[RID]AJ, from the #BFNation channel, has passed on intel that seems to suggest the Battlefield 2 demo will be initially exclusive to GameSpot's GameCenter service (available to GameSpot Complete subscribers). Although this seems like a strange decision to be made by EA, since they don't seem to have particularly strong ties with the GameSpot network, the following is quoted directly from an E3 interview with BF2 Executive Producer Scott Evans:

Interviewer: [...] I want to ask you about the BF2 demo release, in June, with GameCenter
Scott Evans: Yeah, you guys are gonna have an exclusive period on the demo where you have to go to GameCenter to get it, and we're releasing that demo in mid-June.

The video from that interview can be found on the GameSpot BF2 Media page, as "E3 2005 GameSpot Live Stage Demo" (3min50 in). If you'd rather not trawl through the video, we've captured a clip of the relevant part, which can be found on the BFNation file server.

Any further information on this story can be emailled to me: mrhahn [@] bfnation [.] net

Note: This story is currently unconfirmed, and should not be considered definite.
