I wiped everything; then retrieved my account.
malc30 says you install patch 1.03 then 1.12. That's what I did and it works.
 
I am still confused about the SF unlocks for vanilla BF2. In vanilla I have got Assault, Medic and Support unlocked so I assumed I would get the 3 SF unlocks for those classes. However, I have only been given 1 unlock so far. Have I got it wrong?

yeh. I was only given one unlock aswell . I chose the G3 and its crap. However i think i can get the F2000 in about 600 points. (staff sergeant)
 
The G3 is powerful and effective weapon, but you need to have it unlocked so you can get hte F2000, which is the nuts.

stoddy, im a gunnery sergeant i have 5 unlocks and i only got 3 SF ones
 
Most maps I choose the 12-shot shotgun and anti-tank missile launcher. The shot gun has awesome stopping power up close and the missile launcher is a 1 shot kill long range weapon, when aimed dead on, and I have taken out a few moving infantry targets. I found medic is quite useful on one particular city map.


Why is there no mods for this game? I mean the original had loads of mods including the awesome desert combat. Why not have interstate 52 for battlefield 2? Is it due to the server monopoly that multiplay have?
 
Mods take ages to develop, BF2 has only been about 6 months.

But does have a major impact on the mod community, as people arent yet prepared to give up the loverly and addictive stats in favor of trying something new and different.
 
I dont think any of the mods would be ranked so multiplay shouldnt have any effect, the mods are being built but without the resources of EA it will take longer then SF did.

I think the engineers unlocked shotgun is better then the 12 shot the AT has, its so good that I use it on karkland and whenever Iam sure I will be up against infantary at close range. Only the F2000 or normal nade launcher can kill quicker

Same as Dude. I am about 211th in the world with a Shotty. :D
failing that a 1 shot kill with the Tube sorts em out Good style. :cool:
 
My first unlock was the engineer and it is definitely 'king' in close combat. If you jump in a tank/apc and then exit you're happily get 2-3 kills before enough assault rifle bullets have been emptied into you :)
 
i prefer the DAO12 over the jackhammer its just better in terms of reload tiem and ammo, you'll easily get 9 or 10 kills just running around on kharkand before the enemy even has a chance to empty assault rifle bullets in your general direction.
 
There seemed to be a problem last night where only so many servers were showing up in the list. I think the most I managed to find was 85. Side note, my god I'm a total noob at this game, I've been playing for about 2 1/2 hours and have 46 kills and 117 deaths :o . I think I need to practice a bit more, the problem is I'm too used to playing COD and keep trying to do the things I do in COD in BF2.
 
f2000 wtf, kills me every time :-s

Also, does anyone want to swap knfie badges with me? I'll stab you 7 times then you can stab me 7 times :)
