A battlefield2 thread

Sorry, I posted very quickly while I was waiting to load a level :D

Before I had BF2 unlocks for Medic and Spec Ops. I brought SF. I was just promoted to Sergent, and when I next loaded up the game, it gave me two unlocks, which I used to unlock the BF2 assault weapon and the SF assault weapon. It was my understanding that after being promoted, I would receive additional unlocks to unlock the Medic and Spec Ops SF weapons?
 
ahhh! i got around 100 points yesterday on a ranked server and its not showng up on stats trackers on the net! why?! it even said ingame i had gone up a rank:(

I had a quick read around a few forums and there was some mention that SF unlocks in BF2 are only available to Sergeant or higher.

That could explain our situation... me wants my Support H&K MG36! :(

Ahh I think I get it now. You get 2 unlocks for each rank starting from Sergeant. This makes sense as you will get your final BF and SF unlocks at the same time. Shame though, I was hoping for some more unlocks.

Still, the F2000 rocks.
 
What I was meaning... it sounded like you won't get any 'new' unlocks until you're Sergeant... anything before that... forget it!

Which would explain me not getting Support - I'm still 150 or so points off Sergeant. So, the next unlock I get will be the first from SF.

Anyone that was Sergeant or higher when they bought SF (perhaps) got their SF unlocks in BF2?

I'm still not 100% sure about this though.

Anyone got any decent links for the latest update, i really dont want to wait all day for gamespot to download it at 44kbs.

Just got special forces as well and really want to play but there is only one server running the verison i am.
 
I think my plan when I hit Sergeant will be to unlock the SF Support and save the other if there's going to be a SF Sniper unlock in the next patch.

wrong! they are being added to special forces unlocks as they were missing previously.

no new unlocks with eurofarces!!

There going to include another army with new weapons but NO UNLOCKS in euro forces booster pack.

They are going to add two new unlocks with the upcoming patch (I think, its the next patch or the one after that im not to sure)
 
I was under the impression that the new sniper rifle will debut with Euro Forces as it was designed to be with it, but be available as a SF unlock...?
 
few of my m8s have virtually the same setup as me but are in the game a good 20 secs beforeme. I've removed the menus and close down all background tasks before running. Any other tips....
