10 repair points for Vet? god it took me the whole round to get basic. and that was almost repairing the heli all the round

i dont think it will be too bad just follow a tank about, i'll go on a 16 server - really long rounds (30-40 mins easy)

it's easy, Mashtuur and hide near your arty & be prepared to repair under fire/get killed a lot. worked for me.

I did something like that to try for my vet engi badge however my team was too good and won the match before i got my last point.

just had my best round yet, leading a squad that actually followed orders about 220 points & 176 team points - 16 man servers are great, lol

only got a silver medal though

that doesnt fix the aspect ratio though.

to do that open the following file
whatever:\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\SettingszVideoDefault.con

and change the following line

renderer.fieldOfView 1

for 16:9 aspect change that 1 to 1.3 and for 16:10 aspect use 1.2

somebody already has a gamespy account under MrLOL so i cant register it. But said person doesnt have a BF2 account

i tryed registering it on the day BF2 demo came out, thinking i was bound to get the name i wanted.

oh and to call BF2 things "accounts" is an insult to the english dictionary. What they offer you is far from an account. You cant change anything, or have your account re-named avoiding you having to accrue all 5k points all over again..

You see, now I'm just confused. I've just created a gamespy account using my chosen nickname with no problems. So, the gamespy account nickname wasn't taken and there's no BF2 stats showing up for that nickname either. But I still can't create a BF2 account in-game using that nickname, or any other similar variations including brackets...etc

Does this make it `proper` widescreen then? No oval minimap etc? Got a screeny? I want to get a new monitor, but i was holding off widescreen coz all I play is BF2.

anyone get there PC turn off at the end of a round?has happened to me about 4 times now, might be my slight OC i have though, so will try that. funny it's always at the end of the round when the stats come up.

on a lighter note, i hit the 8000 points mark and had my best round scoring 86 points.

When you create an account within BF2 it tries to register said account with GameSpyID - if you've already created the GameSpyID or another person has registered it already, it will fail at this point.

You'll need to try a.n.other accountname now.

You could try 'retrieving' account information, but I doubt it will work.. might be worth a try though.

Surely then, if the said name was indeed already taken for a BF2 account, I wouldn't have been able to create a GameSpyID using the same name?
