A bit of a challenge

Ok just to let you know I dont think Trinity can be paired with anything over a 6670. So you won't get amazing performance but good value for money. It will be enough to play any game at medium with good fps though at least.

Its slightly over but included everything you might want ;)
You can add a SATA 3 SSD in there and because the RAM is LP you can also fit after market coolers.

And Hono your one step behind. The OP doesnt have the money yet ;)
That said I think you should wait for the extra £200 though OP.

Eeek, have to start working again soon. Going off into the wilderness with no signal! Hurry! We are all going to dieeeee!

Rushing it is a bad idea. The Asrock mobo is on preorder. It could well be a week or even two before it's in stock and dispatched. By then you might well have had the £600ish budget to play with

The Zalman T1 only takes mATX mobos (it's ok Idleman used one) but it does mean the case isn't ideal to upgrade in. If that doesn't bother you then fair enough. As you can see there are many ways to skin a cat. Best to think it over rather than impulse buy imho

Its only that there is no upgrade path on the FM2 build whereas the Intel allows a i5 to be put in no problems which will last at least 3 years.

I do hate how cocky you get. Saying he couldn't use higher than a 6670 with the A10 APU made me LOL. Hybrid Xfire never has really been worth a rub ;) You overspent by £10 on the RAM aswell technically in the intel build. You know I have done specs the G840 alongside the Z77 mobo, I just showed the i5K was possible in that budget if he added the OS later.

If he wants to order today thats his choice. Not sure he can get the free P&P over the phone though

Aha! I done it! Got it all through today minus the case, managed to find one to use though. No Haribo :(

Put it together, all has gone quite smooth. Wiill try and tidy some cables and check out how it performs in a few games this evening!

Thanks for your help guys, so happy!

Was worth it just for the little AMD sticker!

So in the article it says that it will remain for at least the next 2 generations. With the cost of the motherboard and cpu, it really isn't a massive problem.

I feel quite happy to be AMD. They really have captured the market at this price point.

Ok so I have it all sorted. Shame I had to get a case from a competitor that has a store in my town.

The case was a cheap one, and the cable management is atrocious tbh.

I am going to be purchasing a nice monitor & a full size case next month, even though I have a M-ATX mobo, the space will be nice, better airflow, and room to expand.

Then X-Mas will be the graphics card that teams with the CPU, and hopefully a SSD.

The machine is more than capable of what I am needing it for, very happy with it, everything just runs so much smoother, from FM to general use.

Thanks for the help and advice guys!.
