Despite all this, what I find most shocking is your spelling and grammar, you must be around 20 and there really is no excuse for it at that age

Trust me they are horrible kids, if my dad said that there little poos they must be!
And no it was no accident as already stated:

1.the blokes were shouting at them saying why the hell did you kill that swan,we asked the blokes what they done and they told us that they SAW them lobbing stones at them, one bloke looked a bit distressed and kept saying to us that hes sorry for "swearing but theres no need for that"

2. when i attacked there equipment they were saying to me "its only a swan"

Thats what i went by for my facts.

Im glad i done what i did and now im off to make a super hero costume with as much spandex as possible....i will be known as vigilante.

Oh don't be so anal, his grammar might not be top notch, but it's perfectly understandable.

that's a really horrible story, i wouldn't have done the same, i don't agree with what you did, but i don't disagree - woulda been better to throw them in

I would appreciate that, at least it would help me recognise my mistakes. This guy is 20 years old yet writes like an 8 year old and goes around breaking other peoples' equipment where he has no right

No he doesn't. He writes like a 20 year old who doesn't use grammar as strictly as you.

He is perfectly understandable, however you feel the need to point out his irrelevant mistakes to his spelling and grammar. Does it make you feel good about yourself to start on somebody for not using grammar as carefully as you?

what would make me curious is the size of the stones the lads were throwing and how much force they were putting into them. If they were just lobbing them up in the air and just letting them drop into the water near the signet (sp?) they must have been some right and big stones to kill it. Otherwise they could have been average size stones but being thrown with some force put in them to actually kill it which would be really stupid and dangerous to the animal anyway.
If it was me there and i accidentally killed it i would probably panic and make a hasty exit.
Other than that it could have been a freak accident where a small stone hit a soft spot on the signet and it died. But thats just guessing because i dont know much about swans and that.
Their whole attitude to the situation when the guy confronted them would also make me sway it the guys favour. Overall i think he was more right than wrong but thats only my opinion.

Why couldn't you hear the blokes shouting at the kids from where they are? Why didn't they walk around to them, just as you did?

If the signet was already dead, and it took you 5 minutes to get there, these blokes have been stood there shouting across the lake for all that time? Did they sound hoarse?

Then you snapped their carbon fibre rods?

Did you actually see some kids throwing things at some swans but didn't dare to say anything and now you're making yourself feel better through your keyboard?

Old cliche,but 2 wrongs don't make a right,and that seems to fit pretty well here.You've taught them bullying is a good way to express their feelings,and polluted the lake with a ruck of stuff likely to kill even more of the wildlife?

i can understand how you felt about that :s ide probably be quite choked... but unfortunately, although there probably wasnt one, you didnt know the WHOLE story- there might have been some variation on them just 'throwing rocks'.

To ;put it simple if you were right that they killed the cygnet on purpose then I would back you fully in what you did, however as we don't know all the facts, and are not sure you actually do yourself, we shouldn't praise you for something that could possibly be completely wrong.

A couple of people seem to believe chav scum don't fish? This is clearly wrong, fishing is definately their sport of choice. As they get older this turns to night fishing and trashing the lakeside with dozens of lager cans.

Its just that theres nothing to suggest these kids were chavs...other than the word choice of the original poster.
