A feel good thread

Life is great for me right now. Just got promoted into a full-time position, so job security and financial security for the first time in a while. Wife is just finishing off at Uni and has a nice career ahead of her. We love where we live and are optimistic about the future.

Of course, I also realise life can turn to crap out of nowhere - when you least expect it. So I also like to keep myself grounded and count my blessings when things are going good :)

I didn't get yelled at for helping other members of staff this week, and was instead thanked for the help.
My mum is back in the UK after 3 months abroad so we can do stuff together at home. My dad also has a new job, so I can see him more too.
I'm going out next weekend to celebrate my birthday and both my parents can come. I've been looking forward to going to this particular Restaurant for months, as I know the owners and hopefully I'll get something made especially for me :).

Going to uni (offset slightly by the fact that I didn't get into the halls I wanted)
Just built a new PC (offset slightly by the fact that that it's broken and I'm probably going to need to RMA the probably-broken hard drive it came with if it turns out to be that)
Just got a new phone

Everything is generally okay, but I'm worried about money stuff--not being able to find a job once I'm at uni, particularly--and annoyed about my PC not working :o

1) You studying politics?

2) What career you planning to take?

Finally worked out what I will have to do to become a Psychotherapist.

WTF....at last you said something about yourself!! Im impressed.

Anyway as for me.....

Being a dad....a good one!

Chilling in my 2.0 v6.

Being in a "jamie oliver mode" lately and GF loves it.

-Just about to have a bath
-Figured out why my camera wasn't working properly yesterday
-Having some mates round for a bbq later
-Car hasn't broken down since holiday last month

Note these are all realistically attainable, easily so infact. I think I aim far too low.

I suppose I should say:

-getting better at photography (would love to work in the field one day)
-recently bought our first house at 24 years old (can't be bad)
-Became a fully skilled technician (in the eyes of my company)

Glad this thread appeared, it's been a really good week.

I went to Prague with a mate, the first time I have been abroad in 3 years. Prague is an awesome city and it was a great weekend.
The day after getting back I applied to uni through clearing and got an unconditional over the phone. Starting later this month.
I started going to the gym again this week but think I overdone it as I am still hurting today.

Life is good

I finally get to move to the other team at work at the end of the month.

I've just bought a nice new TV and some other stuff, my room's finally getting how I want it.

Work's fine, it's easy.

Stuff with my ladyfriend is going wonderfully still.

MX is going well too.

I finally seem to have mastered the art of having money in my pocket on the day before I get paid.

Saw the woman i love for the first time in 6 weeks today.
That felt good.

Normally i would be feeling bad as i would have to wait weeks to see her again, but i dont, because she is getting away and coming over tuesday.

After which i will be very, very unhappy.

Im currently 9 stone but iv bought some bulk product to try and bulk up to double figures in weight.

Started driving lessons.

Done okay in my AS Exams gonna push for my A2's.

Oh and read "The Game" and looked up loads of material :D Life improving on that aspect already.
