**A GREAT TABLET WHICH IS ALSO AFFORDABLE & FAST!!**

Hi, just received my new tablet 7" and 32GB memory. Many thanks to OCUK for excellent secure package and fastest next day service to DPD spot on (on time). Also thanks for a free Haribo sweet! :) 10 out of 10 for OCUK and DPD.



 
I was so horrific and shocked as I switch it on, and it was all china language, no UK language ?

Can OCUK please help me how to set it to UK language ? I cannot find any UK version, not very happy at all Gibbo ! I can see it say version 4.0.3 while the box say 4.0.4 (I am going pop down to OCUK tomorrow and get this sorted out) :(

This tablet not UK version at all ?

I didn't get any Haribo :(

And the tablet has frozen on me already, after literally two minutes.

It's not for me, but my Dad for Crimbo, so I'm hoping there isn't going to be any more lock ups...

And mine was in English.

For anoyone who has purchased this unit I will post up a step by step guide so you can change the language to English.

This should be not reflective of the service that OcUK have come to offer you.

Any problems please feel free to get me via Trust and I will offer you support on setting up.

Just so others know, this person works at the company who supplies these units, so he is legitimate and is here to assist with any issues. :)
 
I am (as usual) here to the rescue.

When you turn on the tablet, press the white button i have circled (think it may onyl appear first time you use it)

Then you have to press the button in the top corner to get to the apps menu.

Then you get the apps menu. You have the select the settings menu which is this icon here

The on the left side of the screen scroll down the menu until you get to here (look at the japanses/chinese text combined with the A icon next to it

Then the menu on the right select the top option here. (this is the language menu)

Then finally scroll down until you get to English (UK) and select that

Job done. Should be all in English now!
 
Bulldog147 - Just replied to your message about the Tablet. AceModder has kindly posted some pics to assist but anything else you are unsure of or need assistance with, then please message me at your earliest convenience.

Thanks to Ace and Loki - much appreciated :) I got your email Loki as I will kept in safe just in case if I need your support in future.

Also how to updates to version ICS 4.0.4 as it does stated in the back of the white box but I check version it was 4.0.3 ? ? Was I was shipped the old version ? The manual instruction (tiny manual) was pretty poor as I cannot see it clearly it very small (like a small print)

I am now setting it up wi fi and try play stores now :)

ICS 4.0.4 will check for you and get back as soon as I have an answer. This will probably be tomorrow now though.
 
My review is:

No bluetooth support
Sky Go will not work (blocked)
Wi-Fi seem ok but still good (150Mbps at N)
Should be more features settings
Battery life is running down pretty quickly (full to empty in an hour) still recharged 34% in an hour so far

Surf the net was good, play store was good, and watching tv catch up was good. Games was pretty fast and you tubes video was good. Tablet memory is pretty poor 1GB not enough for lots of apps from play store. 32GB SD card is pretty good to transfer video/photos into tablet from PC.

The recharge plug lead is very short!

My overall rating is:

Ease with use 7/10
Tablet Memory 3/10
Performance 6/10
Battery 2/10
Wi Fi 8/10
Camera 2/10
Factory Reset 0/10 (Revert to horrific China language default)

Overall 4/10

Recommend to my friends to buy this: NO, not enough memory, very poor battery life and poor webcam (camera) & avoid factory reset leads to China default language!

Wow.. pretty good price for that tablet! Personally, I wanted to find something with better resolution and came across the Ainol Novo7 series and ended up getting the Aurora 1 back in April. I'm pretty happy with it especially after installing CM10 ROM to make it smoother. Since then, there's been an Novo7 Aurora 2 and a Novo7 Fire released which have pretty decent specs.
