**A GREAT TABLET WHICH IS ALSO AFFORDABLE & FAST!!**

My review is:

No bluetooth support
Sky Go will not work (blocked)
Wi-Fi seem ok but still good (150Mbps at N)
Should be more features settings
Battery life is running down pretty quickly (full to empty in an hour) still recharged 34% in an hour so far

Surf the net was good, play store was good, and watching tv catch up was good. Games was pretty fast and you tubes video was good. Tablet memory is pretty poor 1GB not enough for lots of apps from play store. 32GB SD card is pretty good to transfer video/photos into tablet from PC.

The recharge plug lead is very short!

My overall rating is:

Ease with use 7/10
Tablet Memory 3/10
Performance 6/10
Battery 2/10
Wi Fi 8/10
Camera 2/10
Factory Reset 0/10 (Revert to horrific China language default)

Overall 4/10

Recommend to my friends to buy this: NO, not enough memory, very poor battery life and poor webcam (camera) & avoid factory reset leads to China default language!

Bulldog it's clear you are not happy with the overall quality of the unit but I think some of the points are a little harsh in fairness.

You say that the Tablet was ok for watching Youtube, Gaming, Surfing the net etc but not enough memory

1Gb of memory is pretty standard fayre on tablets like this. You say that this is not enough to run certain applications from the play store. Which applications are you having problems with or have had performance issues with

Should be more feature settings
What would you like to see for an entry level tablet at an entry level price ?

It's a 0.3 Megapixel front facing camera ideal for Skype and Video calling. Not recommended for High Quality Photo's or Video's

Surely a tablet is designed for watching Youtube, Casual Gaming and surfing the net. At the price OcUK had it at then that should have give an indication that it is not a portable laptop in a box or an office on the move.

I have a Motorola Xoom that I paid over 4 times as much and the main difference on features is that it has GPS. Some of the games I have installed run equally as good on the Xoom as they do on the OcUK Tablet.

Your issue regarding Sky Go is interesting as I would like to see what you mean by 'Blocked' I will test it in the office this morning

Sky Go is only supported on selected Android devices. It is not supported on my cheap Ainol tablet either.

I'd be interested if someone tried to install the Natwest banking app on this tablet.

The Natwest app wont work as it it a phone app only as it then has to text your device to pair it up. None sim card tablets wont work. PERIOD!

Hi there

I shall just mention this!

1GB memory, also the tablet has 8GB storage, you don't need more than 1GB of RAM and also the tablet has an SD slot, you can insert upto 64GB SD card.

Also its £79.99 and it allows you to surf the web, watch films, download applications and play games, thats the role of a tablet.

Bluetooth??? You purchased it knowing it did not have this, so why is it in your review?

Camera???? Again you know it was a low Megapixel unit, its not for taking photos, its for webcam stuff, again seems a pointless remark.

If I was comparing this against an Ipad which I'd give 10/10, then yes this would get a 4/5 out of 10.

But then factor in £80 vs £500

As such I think Bulldog your review is rather unfair and in-accurate, as you have failed to take into account this is exactly what it is, a cheap tablet and at £79.99 its a lot better than some of the other sub £100 offerings out there. :)

At £79.99 its a good bit of kit and most of recieving them in English too. :)

Battery life, give the Tablet a full charge from sub 10% all the way to 100%, you should get circa 2hrs.

I have a Motorola Xoom, and I played with this £80 jobbie for around 2 hours last night.

I will be honest, the cheap tablet does pretty much everything my Xoom does, the onlky difference is that the screen is better on the Xoom, due to a much better higher resolution. But thats why it does 5x more.

The storage is 8GB - plenty for apps. And expandable with a large capacity SD card.

As for the language it aint really a bit issue is it? I shows you all how to fix it easily.

Bulldog, your review is harsh!

i wish my £200 Nexus tablet had expandable storage

Still umming and waning about buying a few of these

How's the compatibility with games? From the play store anyone else want to share their experiences before I pull the trigger

Well I quite like mine.

Not had hours on it, but it seems reasonably fast and generally stutter free.

No glaring problems or even little ones, which for a tablet this price is something quite impressive.

The one issue I have is that the back is white, not a big issue I will grant you but the picture shows the back being black and such would have been my preference but ah well it doesn't effect its use.

All in all a very nice little buy, quite happy with it, the beauty of it in my opinion is that unlike so much tech you couldn't go out and spend a little bit more to get something a little better, I would say you would be looking at the £150 region tablets if you want to see noticable improvment.

Loki, I am still waiting for your reply for version ICS 4.0.4 as it does stated in the back of the box spec!. I still got version 4.0.3 (how to updates to 4.0.4) ? I had click about phone, click updates and no update is found.

I give this tablet to my father as it will suit him but not for me, I just want GPS, Bluetooth, longer battery life (approx 8 hours)

I am not blaming on OCUK for excellent services, delivery and new latest technology and promotion special price. I only just review from my own thought and yes, I should had know better over bluetooth, gps, and memory ram before purchase it. But, I purchase it because OCUK had one day offer cheaper price! And I knew if I don't like it, hand this over to my father to have it. No big deal :) But, this is NOT the one for me.

I still shopping with OCUK thought ;)

had a bit more of a play on mine last night (before the Mrs nicked it to watcha film!) yeah battery life is a bit poor got just over a hour out of its first charge, but I've just done a full drain and recharge so we'll see.

yeah some other parts of it aren't in the ipad league (or even nexus) but hey I paid £69 for it less than half the lowest nexus so I wasn't really expecting ipad quality or battery life so overall I feel it offers excellent value for money.

I had drain the battery at 5% and it shutdown itself, so I had fully charged it and play video, surf the net and it last me for 5 hours this time with a brightness set half way 50%! It not bad after a proper drain then recharged 100%.

Yes, I was surprised some people were rating battery life based on first use before they had recharged it. Devices with batteries always come with less than a full charge, some times with the batteries almost totally expended. You have to do a full recharge before you can judge battery life.

I have the natwest app running on my nexus 7. You only need a mobile phone to get the activation code, this is sent to the phone but can be entered on the tablet.

However you can only have your app on one device, so if you try to access it on your phone after setting it up on your tablet you'll need to uninstall / reinstall / reactivate it on your phone.

Keeping an eye on this. Want one for my daughter for Christmas. Perfect for her. Loves games, reading (Kindle app).

Just want to be sure battery lasts ok before i click the buy button.

Mines had a few complete drain and recharges and battery life is improving, overall I still think its excellent for the price, thinking of getting a couple more for the kids! My son was impressed as he thought it was a samsung tablet at first glance, its certainly better looking than many cheap tablets.
I should have got a 32gb card at the same time as streaming films to it over wifi obviously doesn't help the battery life.
The charge lead is a little short but it's not the end of the world and I'm sure I can live with it (its about 1m) and I wasn't expecting bluetooth or GPS so thats not an issue for me.
