Arrived today. Daughter will be pleased come Christmas morning. She's home from school ill today, so i can't have a play with it!!

Mine was already set up in english and not chinese. I'm guessing someone in the warehouse has had a boring job setting the language on these :p

Well I took the plunge today and bought one whilst ordering some bits, thought why not give a go.

I know next to nothing about these android things, can you run emulation stuff on them?

Do you get a basic sleeve thingy to protect it? or is that something I would need to get seperate?

:)

Can more people comment on the battery life, I'm tempted to get my mum one of these for xmas, as she loves my ipad and i'd rather keep that mine than hers!

Just 1hour battery life surfing the net is a bit short, 3/4 hours and I'd happily throw the money down for one.

Battery is 3 hours for normal surf the web but if she use you tubes video it will be less than 3 hours. Even worse it take longer to recharge it up from 5% to 100% in a hell 9 hours!
I don't like china tablet and this is made from china.

My Ipad takes about 8-12hrs to fully charge.

3hr is perfectly acceptable for a tablet which RRP's sub £100.

I honestly think some people buying this were expecting Ipad quality for sun £100, whilst such is a pleasant dream it is silly to actually expect it to be true.

Simple fact is this is a nice cheap tablet, its reletively quick has reletively good battery and resolution, of course there are better modelss, but not for this price. As to taking 9 hours to charge fully, my experience is it takes considerably less than that! I use mine intermittantly so it's hard for me to give an accurate estimate as to battery life surfing the web but with wi fi on I'd say about 2 hours easy, probably more (as i say not really times it). If you lower screen brightness you save loads of power as well so perhaps some of those using up the power in an hour are 1) on the initial charge (which is very low) and 2) got everything turned up/on

Got mine friday. I didnt really have a good look at it until just now. Seems ok for what it is and price.

But

I have an issue which is not related to anything I was expecting. There is a tiny white sticker poking out around the edge and it has nothing to do with the protective plastic film... can the back plate be removed? anyone know... the manual says nada about how to remove the battery or anything.
If I cannot get that sticker out then its going back to ocuk (I dont want this hassle tho)

Managed to sort the sticker out.

There is one other thing I needed to know, ocuk show this item as having a black back panel... did they just use whatever images as mine has a white back panel?

Not sure what people expected for £70 me personally love it. I have a Ipad 2, playbook and now this.
Maybe a i have a cherry one as bulldog would say :P but from 22% bat to 100% in approx 2 hours after a few cycles.
Its great for reading the forums for a while, killing some time with a few games from the goggle store.
They all have white backs btw pic is for reference.

I got mine really for the kids as they keep stealing my other tablets and its perfect for that.
