It's A Gigabyte P965 DS3P,I Have Now Downloaded It Again From America Not Europe,Will I try This,

Sorry if i omitted the p at the end oops. Now i appreciate what a difference that made Well things are looking good now im now in the f5 bios. Now will i go back and use the same f3 settings as before? If you can bear with me for another short period of torture Ihope to be able to run the orthos test tonight. cheers jos

Yeah the options should be pretty much the exact same as the old BIOS.

I'll have to hit the pillow in about 15 minutes (up at 6am), but I'll hang around til then.

Checked all settings ok but theres a new setting reading HIGH SPEED DRAM DLL SETTINGS Should I click on OPTION 1 or OPTION 2? Also CTRL and F1 wont bring up an option to unlock Can you help there

Leave it on Option 1.

And you can leave the timings on Auto as you were running them at 5-5-5-15 anyway.

Yes thanks so much We're up and running I'll run orthos tonight for 12 hours and let you know how it goes
I appreciate all your support now sleep well and no nightmares about jos!!!!!!

Started orthos and it immediatelf failed! Then tried option 2 -would only boot on third attempt-and to default.Should i try tomorrow to keep upgrading very slowly at a stage until it refuses to run? What would you think of that? cheers jos

Option 2 is only for running a specific type of memory above 1000mhz. So it won't be needed.

Yip add a little more CPU voltage and try again.

I Tried It Up To 1-41250 [3 Times Trying and Back To Default] I Am Unsure Of How High To Take It Safe

Go up to the next voltage setting. The new BIOS may be calibrated slightly differently.

You can keep raising it til your temps when running Orthos hit ~65c.

Cob, I Now Have It Up To 1.42500, 2 Steps Up, Same Results, 3 Times Back To Default, the First Time Was Ok Last Night, Until I Ran Orthos

Try raising both the PCI-E Overvoltage Control and (G)MCH Overvoltage Control options to +0.1v.

Cob, Thanks For The Reply, I Now Have Got It Up to 3 ,I lower DDR Overvoltage to 0.275v and The cpu Down To 1.35, Do You Think This Setting Is Ok,Or Will I Do The Above, Done This Before I Got Your Reply,

Orthos Now Running For 3h.36.Everthing Is OK,Temps Are 43c-43c All The Time, What Do You Make Of This.?

Cheers Cob, How Long Should I Let Orthos Run This Time, and Would It Need A Little More Tweaking.?
