A Minecraft Movie

That trailer looks pretty good as in colourful and eye candy (to me anyway), but despite Minecraft (and Warcraft!) still receiving updates, I think that ship has already sailed.

The Warcraft Movie and the Angry Birds Movie both came out in 2016, well past the peak of their respective games and both flopped.

Mario Bros (and its movie) is different though because Nintendo keeps making new Mario games so it's still relevant. The upcoming Zelda movie will do well too for the same reason.

Minecraft is still very popular, this will do well with the kiddos.

Does Jack Black now have to be in every crap movie? Is he now that guy?

Jason Mamosa, u ok bro?
Might be a 'crap' movie but those kiddie movies make lots of money - they probably putting them in mamosa and jack in for the adults that want to see a familiar face ... I will probably be dragged to this.

Yeah not for me this one. Looks like it's aimed at kids for sure.

I got bored of Minecraft quickly. Wasn't enough interesting stuff to craft. Unless you got into the serious stuff.. Which was too big a learning curve for a game for me.

I enjoyed building a town with friends but it soon came repetitive.

My kids will be desperate to see this Minecraft is still huge in primary schools so I suspect this will do pretty well box office wise although I don’t think it will be troubling Mario’s spot at the top of the game to movie pile!

Watched the trailer last night. The kids don't know about it, might keep it that way. No doubt kids at school will mention it so then I will have to deal with that.

You mention Warcraft, I thought that was a great film. I wish there was another to be honest, even a TV series wouldn't go amiss. So much lore to make something from.
