** A NEW BEST SUB £300 CARD? AMD 290X 8GB!! **

One card went up to 95 degree's where I believe it starts to throttle.
The second card went in to the 70's.
I just don't think the airflow in my 600t was up to the job of cooling them in crossfire.
I'm currently running it with one card and it sits about 70 if I run the Heaven benchmark.

They're not ideal for Crossfire, it ain't a great cooler. I think you'd need *very* good case cooling to keep it decent temp-wise, and maybe a fan blowing directly on the top card. Just needs a bit of a jiggle-round but doable :)

I had 4 fans blowing on the cards from the side of my case. At one point I had 9 fans on at full pelt. Blowing, exhausting..... Every configuration I could think of.
Made no real difference.

I think it's mainly down to the fact the two cards are so close on my motherboard. There's just not enough room between them for the hot air to escape.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh right, good spacing is essential then it seems (mine allows better spacing and I'm just about confident I could keep it from throttling)

Waterblock?

There doesn't seem to be any clear information about this.
But do you think the waterblock from the 4GB fits?

I've had a look at the PCB's and they look pretty much the same...
