Please can people stop posting pictures and writing comments that making fun of Jesus.

I find them very offensive and totally insensitive to us members of the forums who are Christians.

Ive noticed a huge increase in them over the last couple of weeks, especially in some of the picture threads.
I accept that not everyone shares my beliefs but please have some respect, just please stop posting those sorts of things.

All your life you are going to encounter things that offend you, if you protest against everything you will live a stressful life.

If we followed this kind of sensoring there isn't much that could ever be posted, because I'll bet you bottom dollar that almost everything in this world has the potential to offend someone.
 
They are meant in good light hearted humour. I would never expect someone to post them with the intent of insulting and offending someone. The intent is more important than the result I feel. :)

I have to agree, I was having a debate with friends about Science or religon, and we all agreed that 95% of wars are because of religon, and that science created the weapons that fought them :(

Edit: not much to do with the thread, meh. :o
 
We never see caricatures of Mohammed, Budhha, or Shiva.

Either all get taken the mickey taken out of, or none at all. You can't have different rules for different people/religions.
 
in todays modern society all pictures that are going to offend muslims and other religions that many asians are part of are taken off, but any that offend christians are left and no one cares

...... I was merely showing my intent to keep religous insulting to a minimum, what else is there to be said that has not already been said?

didnt all of them get removed from the funny pics thread, personally i get annoyed by all of them, no point in insulting someone elses religion in such a way

I think, i am guilty as i requested for the images of Jesus and mohammed iirc in that thread.
I see your point and i will keep it in for mind next time.

But they're still obviously going to offend by the nature of them, surely it doesnt take much to realise that.

Jesus is the most important person to a Christian, He died so that we might be reconciled with God

There are plenty of pictures and comment that are funny without having to insult or mock Jesus

In my opinion, the jokes are not funny because they are insulting Jesus.

They are humourous because it's showing Jesus using modern internet phrases and terminology. That isn't insulting him, you just don't see the humour, which is fair enough.
But it's a big difference.

Fair enough, I see that I am not going to talk you round anyway I try. Would you like me to take down the cartoons of Jesus that I have posted in the Comic thread despite the fact that many people enjoy them?
