I see fit to mock anything and everything I see. I take the mick out of my Pakistani housemate all of the time - he sees it for what it is, a joke. Hair colour / skin colour / religion / obesity / accent etc etc have all been used for comedic purposes for centuries.

Ok, take a look at the comic strip thread. Megzy, Otacon, Gilly, Huddy and numerous others have been *directly* 'insulted' by those comics and have taken them in the manner expected.

Is it too much to ask that you take these indirect "insults" in the manner intended - as a JOKE?

No he died so you can potentially have an eternal life. But the way you live out your life as per Good and Evil determines partly if you will have that eternal life.

The Bible is, if taken at face value at least, entirely contradictory.

The fact that it is a piecemeal work of fiction accounts for this nicely and it is usually quite a good debate with a man of the cloth if you take up with him why there are so many contradictions.

It doesnt make sense and it cannot be proven, therefore it didnt happen.

To me, the fact that Christians say that "He just exists, I can feel it" is no different to me claiming that I have a Lamborghini Murcialago parked outside - just because you cant see it and I cannot prove it even exists doesnt mean its not there and no matter what you do or say I have a Lambo on my driveway!

I see the church as just a way of mindwashing people. If i sat for 2hours a week in church every week of my life having the same pack of lies repeated to me, i'm pretty sure i'd believe it too.

I belive another couple of things, that the world would be a far better place without religion and that if something offends you then that's your problem.

I think the old testament is ment to be a story book, taken with a pinch of salt, to teach value. Because adam lived for 800years.

And the Bible certainly isnt contradictary

The bible isnt the word of God though is it? God didnt sit down and write it all out himself with his quill and parchment did he?

The bible is a collection of stories or accounts as understood and recorded by many individuals at different times. If we wrote about the same football game then we would have 2 different takes on it. You also have to ask yourself, when all the accounts/stories where collected and put together what was the person/group involved trying to accomplish? what did they leave out?

Just far too many questions unanswered for my liking!
