A strongmans log - British champion u105KG

Cheers guys, genuinely appreciated the kind words and support.

I've just had 4 days off training for a mates stag do in Estonia.

Back in the gym tomorrow.

Had sometime off after the comp in Duabi, jumped on the scales Tuesday morning to find I was 116KG!

I have England’s strongest man 105KG on 23rd of June, I have to weigh in the day before. So, I have since started a diet. It will take a while for my body to adjust so energy levels are low at the moment and training will be less than impressive this week.

My plan is to get back into regular training this week and start my build up to England’s next Monday.

Training is already starting to feel a bit easier, Tuesday was horrible!

What's the plan with the diet to bring the weight down?

My approach to dieting is very similar to training. In that, I don't follow any sort of structure or plan. I've simply cut out everything I shouldn't be eating (chocolate, take aways, beer, etc) and reduced carbs by about 50%.

My diet is normally fairly relaxed, so these minor adjustments have a good effect on my weight.

24/05/13

Body weight was down to 113.2KG this morning. Energy levels are suffering as a result of the diet, felt awful going into the gym today.

120KG – 5
170KG – 5
210KG – 3
250KG – 1
290KG – 5,5,5 – I’d be lying if I said they were easy, but considering how I felt, I was pleasantly surprised.

Front Squat (beltless)

120KG – 5
160KG – 5,5,5

C&J

70KG – 3
120KG – 2
140KG – 2,2,2 – Felt slow and was lacking any form of explosiveness, however it was a very comfortable weight.

CG Bench (paused)

50KG – 10
90KG – 5
120KG – 5,5,5

Left feeling better than when I started, hopeful my body will have adjusted to the diet by Monday’s session.

Please check out http://fissionnutrition.co.uk/ I've been working with them over the last few weeks.

In the past, I've only ever used the cheapest supplements I could find. Making the switch to fission and introducing a more structured approach has made a big difference in a short space of time.

I've sampled all their products and was amazed by the taste (however I was used to drinking unflavoured whey!). I'm able to offer introductory discounts of up to 35% on the listed prices (collection only unfortunately). Should be a few online discounts to follow.
