HTH!!!

going back on topic, though, the x6 looks like a Passat arse ended an X5

how else do you perceive a 2.3t x6 with a 3.0 diesel producing the figures an x40d does, as anything other than amazing?
should be interesting to see. ive got a squiffy video that looks about 8s, i could do a vagcom run tonight, but fox would be nothing without his sarcasm so you know a quip about "anyone can type numbers into excel" would follow, making the whole discussion about the golf pointless

can you describe the appearance of a 5 series GT without swearing?

What are you on about?
He asked why his car was being discussed, it's because he was basing his opinion off it.
I have zero opinion on what one model of a BMW 4x4 produces performance wise compared to another with a different spec. I have no intention of forming such an opinion either - not when the given 'facts' are unverifiable and totally assumed AT BEST.
theres no point throwing bad english into the discussion to confuse you further about carsWhos car was being discussed? Mine? If so, why are you refering to me as "he" rather than "you?"theres no point throwing bad english into the discussion to confuse you further about cars

so in all the paranoia you dont even trust the stats BMW quote on their site now?

I'd be incredibly surprised if a 1.8T with just a map (afaik that's all you've done, no turbo back exhaust and turbo upgrade or anything) could manage that.
Your limit, assuming a good map is going to be 200-210 depending on engine, I really don't think that will be enough for an 8s 60-100mph.
I'd be interested to see though, as i'd be getting myself a remap quicker if it did make it that quick!
Chill out mate, jeez, its a bank holiday...

the changes to my car are just the software and a couple of very basic breathing changes, "thinking out side the box" changes that i cant say ive even seen much discussion about on forums etc

dont want to sound rude but can you verify that at all or are you just regurgitating fox's sarcasm?
itll be interesting to see what vagcom says though

YOUR facts are assumed at best. You put a registration into a website and make assumptions based off that.
Do you know what the vehicle was running? Do you know what state of tune? Stock, not stock?
No, you do not.
So forgive me if I abstain form joining the OMG Vehicle X is WHAO SO FAST FOR WHAT IT IS bandwagon when that's the only information you brought to the table.
You then become somewhat baffled because people are discussing your car. Forgive me if I am supposed to wholeheartedly concur with the X6 is a rocketship sentiment when it was up against your somethign or other BHP golf.
Get it done then mate, or take your car along to the next dyno day and prove it once and for all.

in which case you have totally missed the point. your own car, for example, magazine tests quote its quarter mile time in the low 14s, just tenths off the enormous x6.
if you dont appreciate that that is one fell of an achievement and its a diesel you need your head tested
