** A VERY SPECIAL NEW MONITOR AND PRE-ORDER ONLY PRICE!! **

Personally i think £4-500.00 isnt bad for a 27" 2560x1440 monitor. Im running a benq fp241w 1920x1200 which cost about £450.00 a few years ago. Prices on reputable brand 27" screens have dropped very nicely in recent years. It's a res ive considered moving to but the gpu power required can be quite daunting.

My thoughts exactly. My Dell U2410 cost me £450 so looking at what you can get for the same money these days is impressive. But I know if I get a 27inch monitor, I'll want a second to replace my current dual monitor setup. That wouldn't be cheap!

Bit off topic, but! Gibbo, any chance that the HIS 7950 ICEQ's would be going back on sale soon? I am in the market for 2 of them, if the deal you had on the other day for about a tenner off came up again I would bite your hand off this very day sir!

They are on sale! No more reductions from current weekly offer price sorry.

The new replacement card has less memory, a smaller interface and less shaders and cost the same as our last crazy offer price is - THE HD 7950 IS A DAMN BARGAIN AT SUB £200 and by XMAS they will be gone!

I could not agree more, these are a fabulous price, best bang for buck by a long way and two for xfire wow! Pity 1440p 27" monitors are not such good buys Gibbo! Eh. :p:D

Do they really cost that much to manufacture? I don't understand how there can be such a large price difference. Even worse with 1600p.

I was also wondering what was "VERY SPECIAL" about this monitor?

I think the resolution 2560x1440 in 27" size is very special :p

These 1440p monitors are, in my opinion, too pricey I'm afraid. The price jump from 1080p to 1440p is far too much and for all the difference not worth the premium. Its high time 1440p monitors were more affordable and by that I mean £250 or less. £420 special pre-order price, not for me ever! :(

A few years ago I got two U3011 at £1200 each... £420 for a 27" 1440p is not bad at all!

1600p screen is lovely, and two of them is just ridiculous.

I chose 1600p@60Hz over 1080p@120Hz because I like more space, much more space.
