A warning from downunder

The term that really got me when I moved to Australia was 'bash'. If someone is assaulted, seriously assaulted or almost murdered, on the news and in the newspapers they have been 'bashed'. Whenever I hear it I can't help but think of Dennis the Menace or somthing like that.
I dont really know where that one comes from but its a very well used word here.
Its all so another word for masterbating in some places. "im gonna go have a bash"

Classic, i like it. :D

Glad ya like it :D

Dont remember its other meaning though, it originates from bashing someone "punching and kicking someone"
Make sure you use both meanings :)

Oh dear young Zip! .... what have you strirred up?

What with your spelling too ......

You will have to think carefully about things before you incite all these young things to cross swords.

Come on now, drink your milk and try to behave in the company of your fellow OCC members.

I don't know, give these colonials an inch ....... ;)

My spellings never been the greatest.
I thought they all needed to learn some facts about Australia and not the mumbo jumbo thats always pumped out by the govements advertisment campains :)

Indeed, the missus is from Australia but she moved here 8 years ago when she was about 9 so the Aussie accent is gone. Nearly 4 years with her and I still can't work out if I'd prefer her to still have the accent :\

P.S got any photo's of the underground Roo Riding Club? (Come on we all know it exists) :p

Have not watched Neighbours for a long time but here is the view of the beach, which is about 300 metres from my house.....

The Australian accent is a mixture of you and ya, people from different parts of the country vary in what they say and how they say it.

But that whole campain is too staged for my liking

They should play on the UK and USA way of words and just say 90% of all Australians wear thongs.
The country would be full of people then :D
