So you don't think a 3060 Ti FE at £369 that was on par as a £1400 2080Ti isn't value for money?
Hmmm? Everything I've seen puts the 3060Ti significantly below the 2080Ti. But anyway...

And as others have said, the whole 2000 series pricing was a sick joke, frankly.

Worth remembering that, in just a couple generations, the xx60 cards have jumped at least £100.

And it's not really possible for most people to keep finding more and more money to upgrade each gen.

"The £400 4060 is as powerful as a 3080, and that was a £1200 card!"
"The £700 5060 is as powerful as a 4080, and that was a £2500 card!"
"The £1,500 6060 is as powerful as a 5080, and that was a £6,000 card!"

See, you can keep making that argument even as prices skyrocket per generation, and that's why it's not such a great argument as you might think.

Agreed, it' sits between 2080 Super and 2080 Ti, closer to the super. 3070 matches the 2080 Ti, slightly better at 1080p, slightly worse at 4K IIRC.

Unless you're considering RT ofc.

I feel like all the while people can make money from GPU's, they won't get cheaper. I also feel like GPU companies wouldn't up production even if it were possible.

I'm also quite cynical. :D The 1080 will just have to keep chugging along for the time being.

I think MSRP's are getting too high tbh, 3060 should be around £200, 3070 - £300 etc.

The exception is the prices on the entry level cards have stayed at their consistent budget prices pre GPU shortage times however i highly doubt this status quo will remain for the mythical RTX budget cards from Nvidia.

Luckily kids have got 6950,7870 and 7950 for now but they are on their last legs, one's going to die soon, I can sense it :(

This is actually a very good argument and I entirely agree with your point. Also as crazy as your prices seem, I wouldn't even be surprised if in a few years the 80 series card really is going for £6000......
