simply because i couldn't think of a better name.
this project will not be coming for a couple or so weeks, so if you don't like reading i advise you leave.
Christmas day is going rather well, and i have lots of moneys, decided i should upgrade my pc as a lil project, do some general cable management modding routing.ect and finishing, and get my pc looking. respectable...ish :D

current spec:
amd x3 720 BE
some bodged broken asus board (on its last leggs)
wd cavier green 1tb
akasa nero s
Enermax galaxy 850watt psu
cm stacker nvidia edition
and a single radeon 5830
4gb cosair xms3 (could also be fried)

and i plan running eyefinity on my three 19" flat screens (having a stand built, got the adapters today)

and amd being a dead platform (at the moment) im going to intel...

what im keeping:
Enermax Galaxy 850w Psu (absolute beast)
Akasa nero s cooler
(kept my x3 under 50oc at all times, even when clocked to its max)
saphire 5830 xtreme (may go crossfire if i think my eyefinity needs more beef)
nvidia stacker (and the fans)
wd cavier green 1tb hdd
and i think that covers it

plans for the rest:
i5 2500 cpu (not k)
asrock extreme 4 rev 3 or 2
4gb or 8gb ddr3 (not definate yet)

will also probably be carbon wrapping my motherboard tray, buying matching fans, and general small mods.
and will be running this back to back with another project
this other project will be a second pc made with spare parts and my old phenom.ect

ahhhh that actually looks really good, say ive seen that youre thread right?
i have a spare fan out of an enermax, would you.....
do the same to my spare fan with some green led's (will cover all costs and a bit extra) how much would that cost? thanks, just really cant be asked to drill all those holes :D

will proably kick it off with a few picks of my rig atm, just for a teaser, as i dont think ill be buying parts for a few days to see what na open ebay case brings me (hopefully not having to refund £85 to a scammer)

considering gta IV on max is maxxing my cpu and not long after that the card is maxxed then i think i will go crossfire, only said maybe as it depends on how my wallet treats me :D
cba to wok out the total res atm though :)

Get that modzart finished, was constantly checking up on that, please don't disappointing me, else i will have to buy the case of you myself :D

to everyone already watching, i will try my best, yet its likely this will be a complete dissapointment.
ps. why is everyone "looking forward to this" this is a bad spec being modded and built by a kid? :D, its nothing specail

yeah, im buying the i5 2500 and motherboard of a friend of mine, with warrenty through asrock and intel, as he never registered the parts in his name,
will also take my enermax over when buying it, watch it post and probably inspect the cpu socket

edit: being built by a "kid"
less experience, and general want to cheep out on everything

been watching your thread as well
hmm im pretty confident that my 850watt yet 6 year old psu can power xfire 5830's
watched a review of the enermax revo (allot newer i know)
yet when on a psu tester, it can stably produce 1705 watts, within atx specification, and its rated at 1350w
they put over 2000watts through it, no flames sparks.ect what happened was... it turned itself of, and worked perfectly afterwards.
genuinely think enermax is right up there with seasonic
(xfx's oem is seasonic but they saw flames after exceeding rated power on a psu tester)

I got a BeQuiet 600W which I think will be an awesome PSU. They are very good from what i've heard, and it is 80+ Gold so plenty of power :)

Only thing that bugs me is only 2 years warranty :( But after the 2 years i'll buy another 6950 2GB and PSU for Xfire most likely :D

my power supply cost me £5 a month ago, was brought as faulty and overheating, i thought it would be a capacitor problem, turned up with nothing wrong with it :D

yup,
considering im runnign a six year old psu in my rig and can run it and have ran it to over 750 watts, and capacitor aging shows that after like every years use it should supply 10% less power
so that's what about 450 watts left (according to a psu calculator)
what the hell are they making these power supplys out off? :D
saw it on ebay, was like hmm the worst problem a psu like that could have is a bad cap..... apparently it was struggling on a 560ti, and that uses the same amount of power as a single 5830
anyway, all i can say its im happy, and have decided to stick to enermax for my power supplys

its not broken, runs like a dream :D
and yeah i supose, its just not having the money that makes you wanta cheep out
adn this project is slowly going no where, will be picking up the i5 and mobo soon, but am very busy at teh moment
 
anyway, bout time for and update, today i willl strip my whole rig down
and by 1pm i will be in exeter collecting my i5 2500 stock cooler asrock exetreem 3 rev3 motherboard, and 4gb free ddr3 ram so :)
yet i go back to school tomorrow so im not sure when ill get time to put the pictures up
and to let everyone know this is a very slow moving project, with my hardware upgrades first, and will probably be going crossfire and maybe get a ssd boot drive before i move on to case modding.ect
my next sum of money should be coming in about 2 weeks
 
majorly annoyed right now
car broke down after i tore my rig to btis ready for the change in hardware
so nothings happening till next weekend
 
So after all that the seller went and sold it to someone elese for less 3 days before we arranged for me to pick it up (this sat)
saying this i only have £220 at the moment in cash, and so i cant afford an i5 2500k for a couple of weeks,
but i know what ive got in mind and how much it will cost. im being paid another £180 in a couple of weeks so i should have way more than enough money to get an i5, but bassicly
untill then project postponed
and yes, seems he promised it to me before christmas and know my cicrumstances with my current rig im megggggga annoyed!
sorry for the disspointment
i mayupload pictures soon, yet i dropped my phone in the toilet (clean water) at 7am so it will need drying out first, and i think it still works
