Sad really when I consider that Asus were releasing a bios for my A8V-Deluxe once a month at it's height....

I'll be very disappointed if the Sil controller isn't fixed by the next update. I need that SATA port, and I need it to work properly. I gave Asus the benefit of doubt when I got this mobo (after hearing a number of bad stories regarding their support - after all, you get horror stories for every manufacturer). But I find it unacceptable that a fundamental feature of the board (forget extreme overclocks etc. for a sec) does not work properly.

Hi ChrisC. is there any other updates or drivers that have come out since 0404 BIOS was released? or anything that helps this poorly supported Motherboard? really disappointed in Asus.

man, im having to almost on every system startup to disconnect and reconnect my mouse because its frozen on startup, anyone else get this with this mobo?

I have had problems with USB mice freezing and giving the device disconnect/reconnect sound for USB with a pause. This happens at regular intervals. One mouse was a Saitek optical gaming mouse and the other was a logitech optical.
I have now switched to a standard PS2 ball mouse and have had no issues.
Maybe there is a timing issue for USB on this board or just a fault somewhere but it is annoying enough to have to change the mouse to a standard one, especially having paid a fair amount for the specialist Saitek gaming mouse.
This board was rushed out by ASUS without proper testing.

Disagree no problems at all, mosfet whine has disappeared. Stable, and overclocks pretty well (within safe CPU temps limit anyway) No problem with USB mouse problems. Having problem with USB keyboard plug in/detect but it's this particular one, as another USB keyboard works fine.

Hi all, well I raised a query regarding whether Asus would be producing a new bios and I got this answer:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.
My name is ZYC. I would be assisting you today.

Sure, if there is some problems or bugs need bios update to fix ,

we will release new bios.

So what I gather from this is that Asus seem to feel there are no need for another bios unless they have reported issues that they can be re-created. So I guess if we all think that a new bios is required then send in your technical enquiries to them. I for one will be sending in the issues of sound and video stutters I have whilst playing games (still) when my other, networked, PC is on thus indicating some problems with the NIC controller somewhere...

Are those issues where the game pauses very briefly, usually with a click from the speakers? Happens maybe once every hour?
