A8R32-MVP what is it

Hi,

I have just recieved my board (got lucky thru a freind), I have installed it and averything is working ok, only trouble is that I can't get pc probe II to work. Every time I try to install it says the I/O is missing, any ideas? I did not do a complete re-install of windows as that would be a real pain, I had the a8r-mvp previously, is there any way around this???

Thanks
Raja

well I do not have the board yet so cannot comment, but a different chipset would need a fresh install,

have they infact updated the probe software for the 580 chip set?

I will be able to offer more info when the eagle lands

shouldn't need a complete reinstall, at worst a repair install should replace all the drivers and leave everything else intact....

Deinstall chipset drivers (but I dont think there are any for rd480) and reinstall rd580 drivers if there are any...

I would imagine lordedmond is right that the pc-probe needs an update...

:D

Hi,

Just tried a repair, checked web for the right way to do it, pc probe does not work at the moment, will need to update I suppose......

Thanks

Andyr

what happed ?

dont leave us in suspenders

I never got the graphics to settle down , it would come up with major lag in certain games yet other games seemed ok, bench marks were always ok.and it took longer to boot into windows than this board does , i will probably go for another 580 board , might wait and see what the dfi one has to offer
one thing ive noticed is that the 580 chipset got a lot hotter than this one .
Just a bit unlucky i guess

I think it was hardware as it got worse when it warmed up !!

It was probably a poor sample from the beginning as it didnt clock that well compared to what a few others were saying

I must say i contacted asus tech support on many e mails and they didnt work it out , brings a tear to my eye :(

i knew it was time to pack it up as i was in bios more than windows lol
