Abercrombie sizes

What's the deal with Abercrombie and Fitch sizes? Are they made small, large or reasonably accurate?

I'm buying my GF birthday presents, she's said previously that she would need a large from Abercrombie because their tops are made small but I've checked their size guides and I'm not so sure. She is generally an 8-10 from most shops, small bust but she's tall so I'm confused.

Any ideas? :)

edit: Their size chart states: L = 37 - 39inch bust. So, surely she's not a large then? :confused:
 
Well, if I'm buying S, M or L. I generally buy M because she's tall. However, I have read that their sizes are pretty small made? Just wanted to be sure, Yahoo is hardly a reliable source.

That's why I panicked. Utterly weird payment process they have. Anyone else ordered? I expected, like most sites, that they'd sent an instant email confirming the order etc yet I got nothing? For such a big brand it's slightly worrying.

I usually end up buying the next size up when im shopping in the US. My fav store is American Eagle though. Their clothes are fantastic quality.
 
My GF bought all her Abercrombie stuff in a medium while we were over there a few weeks ago. Shes about 5ft 7", size 10 and bra size is 32-34DD (I had it drummed into me when I was dragged around Victorias Secret stores :o) just to give you an idea.

I bought a Medium t-shirt for me and it does fit but definitly more on the fitted side. I'd say compared to over here the mens clothing was a little tighter fitting.

Totally agree. The quality is awesome ended up with about 6-7 items from American Eagle. The shirts were particularly amazing quality, better than any of my Boss shirts.

Abercrombie is designed for good looking people, fat people should not wear it. This is compared to more mainstream cheaper stuff that average people purchase that has to compensate for the unattractive purchasers that is more flattering to fat, ugly and short people. They are a much slimmer fit but length wise a little bit longer and the clothes are of a very high quality.

Abercrombie Staff = best looking staff in the world. Seriously, the 5th Avenue store in New York was just crazy. Every girl in there was model territory. The staff uniform consisted of a floaty mini skirt....mmmmmmmmmmmmm :D.

Tip : Don't ever go with your missus :o

Yup, the one in London is very good as well. I believe they only hire models with a decent portfolio. It sets a good example of the kind of customer they want and keeps out a lot of the lesser people. I also enjoy the topless guy out front designed to intimidate both unfortunate looking men and women.
 
Lol, abercrombie and fitch, I wouldn't go in that shop except to slap the fake tan off the sales assistants. And for that matter, most of the people who shop there.

Generally all these fancy shops are built for anorexic people though, look at the sizes in somewhere like ralph lauren or calvin klein. A large is like a small everywhere else. Tailored for skinny indie kids.
