Abercrombie sizes

It's hardly pretentious for good looking healthy people to want clothes designed for them instead of with your average fat person in mind.

Lol, abercrombie and fitch, I wouldn't go in that shop except to slap the fake tan off the sales assistants. And for that matter, most of the people who shop there.

Generally all these fancy shops are built for anorexic people though, look at the sizes in somewhere like ralph lauren or calvin klein. A large is like a small everywhere else. Tailored for skinny indie kids.

Fat person spotted. You need a chest and some tri/biceps to make an Abercrombie t shirt look good, anorexic hipsters have neither and are found at American Apparel.

Hardly. I'm neither ultra-skinny, nor overweight. Medium fits me perfectly everywhere. I've not bought a Small or Large for a good few years. (When I was a teenager)

It is not "unjustified or excessive, unwarranted, or with exaggerated importance, worth, or stature" to want clothes designed for better looking people with decent healthy body's instead of compensating for fat people.

I'm not fat, just not anorexic and pretentious. Their stuff doesn't fit tall people anyway.
I'm 6'6" and average build.

Their clothes aren't styled for men anyway, it's very metrosexual.

The A&F US and UK sites are exactly the same and the stock comes from the same warehouse. All they have done is change the $ to £. So download a free IP hider and order from the US site and you can save yourself a fair bit (so long as you're buying a few items).

lol @ the abuse for A&F!

The quality of the stuff is awesome, fits well and the design holds well.

Just had a look at the American Eagle stuff, how cheap is it! Is the quality up there with A&F stuff?

Infact $50 shipping - OUCH

It's certainly up there with the A&F stuff. I bought a couple of polo tops which are quite a thick material but fit nice. Got a couple of
big zip up hoodies, infac my gf has nicked one
because of how comfy it is. I couldn't believe thr price either.

The quality of the American eagle shirts are the best thing though.

Yeah the shipping is quite costly :( wish I would have bought more!

Knowing that would have came in handy a couple of weeks back. I just got a pair of $90 jeans for £110 including delivery :(

Does this work? And what with customs charges if you do this?

Was in New York last month and did find the A&F stuff a little on the tight side - but I am a fulltime pieman.
American Eagle is a little bit more relaxed - the quality of the stuff is excellent, I spent a bit there but got an absolute mountain of clothes. Fantastic quality for the price.

The US site also has a clearance section with some excellent prices eg hoodies for $29.

It certainly works. You have to pay import tax which FedEx will pay for you. You then have to pay FedEx plus an additional £10. So if you want just a jacket, you won't save much, if anything. The real savings come if you're buying a number of items.

ie a member on another forum I use ordered $149 worth of stuff and paid £18 overall for import and fedex charges.

dont there trousers for men only go upto a 28inch waist?......

my son has some A&F stuff from london i think one of his shirts cost £80 while the material feels nice for the same money i could get better elsewhere and have it properly fitted.

Most of the trousers as far as im aware go up to 36, dont think they would get much business in America if they only did skinny waists!

Going to CA in the summer going to grab some A&F Polo's and whatever i find in AE!

love American prices!
