Abit 650i Fatal1ty or QuadGT?

Think I'll stick with the QuadGT, what much has the 650i got to offer than Sli anyway, QuadGT clocks very well, although the 650i is very water cooling friendly.

Trust me i'm very tempted to on the Fatal1ty board, just don't want to be a guinea pig on my first Conroe build. ;)

I'll be ordering one tomorrow for my first C2D build. I like the look of it and am hoping it won't suffer from the Vdroop that the Asus does. Cancelled my order for the Asus as well. The first one arrived looked like it had been played football with by the couriers and the second was DOA so i have given up on those. You have to take a chance once in a while (hopes gamble pays off).

I have to go for a 650i as (for the time being anyway) i have a pair of 7800gt's and there's no way i am dropping to a single until i can afford a 8800.

Think i may order one next week, i've got all the parts for my new pc sat here staring at me and the only thing i'm missing is the motherboard. I like the look of this abit one and like pastymuncher says, so long as it doesn't suffer from vdroop and it will fit my Tuniq then i'll be happy.

Suppose the only way i'll find out is to buy one. :)

Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLi nForce 650 reviews? comments?
does the tuniq tower 120 fit etc etc ? want to buy tomoz from ocuk
hmm kind of put off by the £8 shipping cost it cost me that to get a case delivered don't get that at all seems a ripoff should'nt it be like £4 max
for such a small lightweight object?.

The original question referred to "Abit 650i Fatal1ty or QuadGT?" all your doing is de-railing the original thread. . . besides like he said their is plenty of threads on that motherboard you mentioned anyway, if you use the search funtion!

Just curious, is their any other benefit apart from Sli i.e. comparing the 650i to the Intel 965 chipsets?

I did actually have a 650i board but didnt get round to testing it, does it drop to the 1333FSB bootstrap over 401FSB? The Abit AB9 QuadGT motherboard doesnt & as far as I'm aware is the only 965 chipset board that doesnt so far. . . .

i just wanna change board cos my cpu can do more but my board doesnt allow it. my e6600 will do 3.8ghz at 475x8 but my board wont boot again once i reset. its perfectly stable till i do though. Anything above 400fsb using at x9 multi and my board aint happy either.

So i want a 650i board so i can run atleast 420x9 :)

on the Asus it changes ~424fsb.
Apart from SLI & native IDE support the other advantage is the unlinked cpu/memory clocking.
