Putin came to power on the back of promising to curtail the oligarchs power. Those who haven’t been exiled, imprisoned or killed by Putin are only allowed to exist because they agree to do his bidding.

I watched it too and thought the same. It is almost as if this was on the back burner for ages and were just waiting for the right time to release it. All it did was just remind me how much of a muppet Yeltsin was.
 
I enjoyed Neville and Carragher's bit on MNF about this. They were very critical of what's happened and didn't hold back in terms of their views. Neville even agreed he's got it wrong over the years in terms of who we should be allowing to invest and/or own clubs. The problem is, say the bid from the Saudi media group for Chelsea is genuine, how can they block this when they've just allowed the Newcastle takeover to go through just a few months ago.

Also they don't really mention our lot of British unscrupulous billionaire/millionaire owners of which we have a lot of.

Yes they never should have accepted it in the beginning, the pl's 'fit and proper' ownership test is *********, we already know that - see Man City and now Newcastle.

However you lot basked in the 'glory' that money bought for 2 decades, you now have to face the consequences. Instead of whinging about it how about your club show some empathy with what's going on instead of fence sitting statements.
