Abramovich & Chelsea + a bit of Everton

The FA allow him to buy and own the club and the Government allow him to spend billions on a new stadium knowing he allegedly had ties to Putin. If he was in Putin's pocket it would be good to see this evidence which the Government are unlikely to show. What's strange is Abramovich wasn't originally sanctioned with the first Russians. It just looks like the Government as usual were slow to act and now are trying to look like they are doing something and Abramovich being the most high profile.

How long before the Chinese and Saudi owners are sanctioned.

What do you honestly expect, in the same circumstances every other club would be doing the same. If they had just removed and banned RA from any ownership or ability to take any money but left the club to run as it was without blocking them from spending or any of the other sanctions then it wouldn't have been such an issue. The club makes enough to be self sustaining so why cripple it.

RA has provided a long period of success, any fans would be doing the same. To deny that you may as well state you don't understand football fans.

No political axe to grind, so no. Wolves have Chinese owners and that link you provided predicts executions in the 1000's. No one cares. The Saudi's killed 81 but we have no idea on the legal process. Same as I've not read up on the 20 odd American ones. Egypts is bad too, shall be ban Mo Salah ;)
 
If they are taken over by that Candy fellow, will there still be a big financial impact on them whereby the days of £50m+ players every summer could be over?
 
So apparently one of Abramovichs companies makes steel which sells to a company which makes panels for tanks for the Russian army, is that enough to destroy Chelsea?

No due process or any instance of proof is just government tyranny.

Thinking the recent bombing of maternity hospitals and not recognising Yemen has been bombed by Saudi Arabia for decades and the genocide of Palestine for 60 years just for some morale fashionable high ground is what I find disgusting.

This thread is about Chelsea/Russia which is why I'm commenting on it. You've no idea what my stance is on other atrocities, so keep your inept whataboutery out of it.

It's actually about Chelsea and Abramovich and a little bit of Everton, no Russia and no bombing of hospitals. Chelsea derangement syndrome in full today.

Russia is an oligargy. The oligarchs are complicit in the system of government that makes the war in Ukraine possible.
