Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010, Yas Island Marina Circuit - Race 19/19

You expect any different? Honestly.

It happens ion every sport and it doesn't matter how many twists and urns there are, our favourites didn't win.
Well actually, yeah. Maybe I'm wrong, but in most other sports, it usually takes a controversial decision for people to be sore losers. Vettel won, it happened, let's move on.

I guess maybe I just don't see it the same though. I've always enjoyed the competition in F1, rather than any particular driver.

Well, that and the small fact that the last race of the season turned out to be a complete borefest with virtually no overtaking. I don't know how you can be anything but negative about such an anti-climax.
Because I have a longer memory than today? The season might well have started and ended with dull races, but some of the ones in the middle were fantastic, and I've enjoyed this season immensely.

.

I don't see any sore losers, just people with opinions on what teams should have been and people saying they would rather there man win. Which you get in any sport and not just with controversial situations.

As I said over the last few seasons, the one with most points deserves the wdc doesn't mean I don't think other people/teams could have done something different.

I think it was Rose water is it not? Isnt it a muslim country?

Indeed it is, but surprisingly they seemed to have virtually no carbonation, previous years it hasn't been just as bad at that when they shake the bottle,s always less fizz, but never none.
Be better off with a massive bucket of sprite :)

Just noticed with the Schumi crash that if he hadnt moved slightly forward his head would have been hit...

Mentos anyone? :D

ps3ud0

Really enjoyed this season, only missed one race due to work :)

Congratulations to the BBC, was great coverage! The team didn't seem to gel, Leggard in particular, but the 5live commentary was great!

Roll on March! I might hibernate for a few months :D

'We've done all we can' in support of Mark Webber.

Maybe next year Horner will stop telling outright lies to the press too...

I don't see any sore losers...
Seriously? I'm not going to go back and find them, but there are plenty of "OH NO NOT VETTEL :(" or "I'm swithing off the telly now!!" comments in this thread. Surely you saw them too?

Refusing to acknowledge the new champion, or complaining about him winning, is pretty much the definition of a sore loser to me. If people were being gracious, I'd expect something more along the lines of "Shame Hamilton/Webber/Alonso couldn't do the biz, but well done Vettel".

of course I posted one of them. It's not sore losser though. It's your man didn't win.

if people start posting he doesn't deserve it and the like, that's a different matter.
And the Tv thing is because of the very annoying finger more than anything else.

Well, all in all I think the right team and driver won the championship. Half way through the season I wouldn't have said the same thing, but Vettel's quite clearly had a personality transplant and it's paying off.

It was a great performance by the top 3 teams to make the season exciting, and I'd hope for more of the same next year. Although, I'd rather see McLaren snatch it.

Many thanks to AH2 for the threads! And some to JRS and Sunama for the frilly pink handbag moments that keep everyone entertained.

Roll on winter testing and the rumour mill!

Great result for Seb, obviously I would have preferred one of the McLaren drivers to have won the WDC but my G/f supports Seb so he was my next best choice. Glad Alonso didn't get it.

It's been a heck of a season, can't wait for next year.

Thanks to AH2 for starting all of the threads and to everyone else for their contribution.
