Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010, Yas Island Marina Circuit - Race 19/19

the only thing I can think of, with no testing test drivers will have little intimate knowledge of current tyres and so less pre conceived ideas of how the car should be set up and maybe an advantage of understanding from that.

Congrats to The Finger. I'd be that emotional if I had won WDC as well.

AMAZED how long JB managed to run on those tyres.

Did they swap Marks car with Jamie A's ?

lol @ Alonso Fisting !!

That's the last time that RB car will run competitively though.

Clean slate for next year...... but McLaren have technical advantage with their KERS

Will Cs||Nuts come back now ?

You see the difference in Alonso and Hamilton today. A huge difference in intelligence. Alonso gets out the car and in the interview straight away he's aware on why it went wrong and the choices of who they had to try to cover in the stops. Like MS used to before.

Then on the other hand you have hamilton unable to understand why the gap to vettel was larger after the stops. he just doesn't seem aware of whats going on around him and when something goes wrong he's straight on the radio moaning.

How many times does he then call in about tyres/grip, we need to pit etc for the team to then try to straighten his head out?

Kudos EJ

@dannyjo22 - why Ive always thought of Hamilton as a racer rather than a driver...

ps3ud0

I understand why he's so fast I just don't get why he falls apart so often for a few laps when it goes a bit wrong or why he can't understand that something is never his fault.

Such a shame the renault was there, I would have loved to see him have a real run at vettel today. Oh well next year. Can't wait to see what happens with Kers next year.

There is quite a gap between Alonso's intelligence and Hamilton's. Even sometimes this year Jenson has shown the ability to think about things and make calls or ask the team why they pitted him at a certain point in the GP. When everything is going well for Lewis he's pretty much unstoppable, but when there's a problem, or Lewis think's there is a problem, he just seems to get all self-defeatist in his head.

Surely as one of the most talented drivers in F1 and a world champion Lewis can 'feel' if there's been any damage to his front wing? And how many times has Lewis radioed the pits this season thinking his wheels are going off?

If Ferrari give Alonso a title chasing car next season and Red Bull do the same for Webber/Vettel and Mercedes are able to give Rosberg and his team mate (perhaps not Schumacher :p) a good car then Lewis might find it too hard to rise above them all to win the title because we know Alonso can think things through and Vettel will be much harder to beat now he's achieved his dream.

havent seen webber in all the celibrations.
Can't see how Webber and red bull can continue in 2011 tbh he doesn't want to be a number 2 and lets be honest he's now forever gonna be Massa mark 2 now they've got the golden boy to world champion.

Afraid for Mark he's lost his chance of ever winning the world title now bit like Rubens lost his chance last year.

.

I can understand why he asked that question. He was fast and didn't get held up till after vettle pitted. Just vettle did a stunning in lap and the pit crew where faster.

But yes some of his moaning is ridiculous, hopefully he'll understand when he watches the race back.
