Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2011, Yas Marina Circuit - Race 18/19

how come the FOM feeds never have the engines sounding like they are farting ?
they almost sound like wheelguns or something when they start blowing the diffuser

iirc his pitwall quite a few times.

Where did you hear that then? I have the race recorded and I heard nothing from Alonso complaining, only radio was the pitwall telling him he has to pass and use all his talent, to say he never tried is just ridiculous.

Lol, I love the conspiracy theory rubbish around this. They were racing Alonso, they pitted in line with racing Alonso, and then Webber failed to have the speed to catch or the skill to overtake.

Simple as that.

exactly why I said "If there was any to start with" :)

You do get some of it on the feeds, but nothing like as bad as it is in real life. They sound truly awful off throttle. I will be so glad when its gone next year.

In your fantasy world do you own a castle and unicorns?

Or do you mean RB's fantasy world of no team orders or a flexy wing in 2010?

And as for castles well they are real but what about unicorns!
Job 39:9-12 (King James Version) is your answer well that's if you belive in the bible :)

Anyone else a little bit 'meh' about this one?

If it's anything like last year there will be zero overtaking and there's not much left for the drivers to fight for.

I expect Seb to run off into the distance, JB to trundle along 10 seconds behind him, Alonso and Webber to be a few seconds behind JB, and Hamilton and Massa to scrap it out for 5th (probably with some sort of racing incident thrown in).

I'd love it to be different, maybe Hamilton to sort his head out for a race and take it to JB, but I just can't see it happening.

Everyone has team orders, its hardly a secret is it [also not illegal] The wing flexed, the wing also passed every rule thrown at it,even when the FIA did change the rules to shut Whitmarsh etc up!

Quite what that has to do with your fantasy that Red Bull purposely put Webber in a situation where he could not win a Championship and that Vettel would need Alonso to struggle to pass a rookie in a Renault plus others to finish well down...... the mind boggles

Bible? Give me a break, thats the biggest fantasy man has ever invented.

HRT a bit slow it seems.

Nice find there Duke ;)
Force India are doing well..Merc is the surprise for me.

I'm assuming those times are so different due to damaged cars. How many times has hrt had extended pitstops compared to RBR.

Also sae applies for mclaren vs RBR with hammy having so many crashes.
And generally midfield teams are likely to be involved in more inciedents.

Oh and I'm now working Friday :(, but no OT weekend.

Would be more interesting to see times for only Tyre pit stops.

Sorry meant to link to the original article - it does only include tyre stops :)
