James Hunt would probably be the best-known example? Champion in '76, spiralling down into drink, drug use and sex with anything in a short skirt. Mind you, he was already heavily involved in those even when he was winning....:D

Aaaah...feed anyone enough drink/drugs and they are likely to lose not only their job, but also every aspect of their personal life will eventually suffer. This is why my belief is to stay away from alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and multiple partners. Do what MSc did - cut out drink/drugs, stick to one woman, marry her and be happy. It will provide stability...but that's a discussion for another day. ;)

It's possible that Hamilton was attempting to do the same, but it didn't quite work out. Perhaps its best that he find a woman who isn't a celebrity. I believe that Vettel is going on this direction, as did MSc before him.

Ferrari driver Alonso claimed his McLaren rival was "the one who's able to clinch a championship with a car that's not the best".

Would have liked to have seen Hamilton's reaction to that lol.

Whilst I have a lot of respect of Alonso I've never really been a fan of him since that 2007 season, being at Ferrari now doesn't help. :p

But I have to say, he's certainly gone up in my estimations this year as a person.

A team that is willing to risk drivers and cheat it's way to the top? ;)

Who cares, Renault's just another backmarker now (actually, kind of reminds me of 2001 where they diced with the Minardis). Toro Rosso and Force India have been outscoring them for several races.
