Acer XB270HU - Worlds First IPS, 1440p, 144hz, Gsync

UPDATE!

Mine was delivered to reception at work I've just checked the box and there's a dirty great hole in the front where it's been man handled , I assume by the courier!. It's bloody worrying if they are slinging around a £700 monitor ffs.

I've opened the box and luckily its the opposite side to where the screen is thank god

Fingers crossed there will be no problems when I try it out when I get home :eek:
 
Just got worried we were ripped off as its now gone on a weekly deal, lucky I can cope paying £3 over the odds for early adoption, lol.

Although with the amazing speed it's sold I don't think a price drop would have been needed to clear the stock through faster.

Another problem with being a late adopter is the higher chance of getting a monitor that has been returned for dead pixels!

haha I saw that earlier and was about to go mad then saw the price reduction :D
 
One dead pixel in top left, one stuck green in top right half, why am I not surprised I didn't get a good one.

It started so well with the sticker being on the monitor back to front, eesh.

Just got mine through. Straight out the packaging and onto the desk. Thankfully no dead pixels here and will check tonight for back light bleed but its looking good so far boys :)
 
Look's like the dead pixel wasn't dead, it was stuck black, a few taps and it came back to life.

Man these pixels are so unstable, if you tap the screen to get rid of one it can make another a couple of inches away, then you have to tap that one which might make another somewhere else.

DSR it :( very frustrating when you buy something new especially that price.

Let us know how you get on, I would love one of these monitors also I think I would like to go a single card route and have a monitor like this would I think be perfect, I'm playing GTA-V at the moment and OMG what a lovely looking game tho I only have 2gig cards so jerking around on the screen is some what annoying hence wanting this screen SOOOOOO BAD.
