Agreed, annoying to hear.

"Virtually" has become stupidly overused around here. Virtually every commercial you hear can tell you virtually all their products work for virtually everyone virtually all the time.

Whatever happened to the words "nearly" and "almost"? But I guess it is better than using "literally". :rolleyes:
 
This one irks me too! Also, I hate the misuse of "an" or "a", I really don't understand how so many people can mess it up. If the word starts with a vowel sound use "an" if not, use "a" so it's "an x-ray" not "a x-ray".
As above, it's based on what the spoken word starts with, not the written. If the phonetic pronunciation starts with a vowel sound, it is to be "an". :)

Reading that makes me feel old.

I've never used language like that when I was younger, but I could at least understand it. I must be so out of touch as to me that makes no sense whatsoever.
