"Addicting"

All the examples in this thread 'annoy' me I guess, but I know I've made enough mistakes myself when typing so I shan't go on about it!

Funny thread is addicting.

Maybe it's too late, but that almost makes sense. :D

It gets my goat when people ask for 'advise'. It seems to be a very common on these boards too.

It's one of those horrible American terms like chilax. Just don't like it.Why do we have to copy everything they do?
My bad?? It sounds like something a baby would say because they can't string a proper sentence together.

'Gotten'

I hate it, silly lazy Americanisms. Whatever is wrong with 'received', 'attained' or any of the myriad of words that better describe the past tense of 'get'?

First time I've heard anyone use the word 'addicting'... What annoys me most is the 'your' and 'you're' mix up... So annoying!

Never seen that before :D

Annoying me at the moment is people leaving out the word 'to'.

"I'm going Prague next week"

No you're not, you dullard, you're going TO Prague next week.

Sound like a northern thing to me, presumably evolved from the "going t'shops" kinda thing, but just people are now so lazy they even leave out the " t' ".

Soon people will just say "Shop" and you'll ask "what?" followed by "food" from the other person.
