Adel Taarabt of QPR

well like I said i've only really seen him live at spurs. And briefly a QPR game the other day where he hadn't changed one bit. I don't really watch pub football so don't see his performances. ;)

Plus it's not exactly hard to light up the championship in retrospect.

lol sour grapes again - see him live and you'll see this season he's been top top class.

Why can't they all do it then?

Daft thing to say.

if you're a decent professional footballer it'd be easy to excel in the championship, hence why all the decent players obviously play in them prem. You can understand that i'm sure gilly. It's not rocket science.

But I expect such comments from Leeds fans ;)

That's a bit harsh isn't it?

We'll see hopefully next season!

You have to be a Premiership quality player to excel in the Championship. Otherwise the Championship would be Premiership quality, which it obviously is not.

There are a lot of players in the Prem that are not up to standard. That's why you see the lower placed sides getting hidings from the top teams on occasions.

It is simplistic and foolish to say it is easy to excel in the Championship.

The Championship gets way too many snobby detractors, mainly from Premiership fans who think it's beneath them.

There's some great football played there, and as an event, it's far more exciting than wondering which of three teams will win the Prem, or how long it'll be before the newly promoted teams give up and go down.

The gap's also a lot closer than people think, considering the cost. I doubt anyone in the bottom half of the Premiership could coast through the Championship.

One name for you, Darren Huckerby.

Awesome in the Championship, found out in the Premiership.

The Championship has vastly improved from eight odd years ago when Huckerby played. It's at a lot better standard now. I don't think Premiership teams would be willing to loan out their future stars to the Championship five years ago.

Ah you could fill a thread with "great in the Championship, **** in the Prem" players, but that doesn't make it always true. Michael Turner plying his trade at Sunderland, or Craig Bellamy not being miles better than everyone else down there would beg to differ.
