Adel Taarabt of QPR

Meh, I'm not convinced by him from what I've seen, no doubt has talent but seems to choose when he wants to use it, totally absent in the two games we have had against you guys and hear lots of reports just being disintereted quite often, we will see how he takes his chance in the prem though.

Don't be so disrespectful to the championship though guys, especially when a championship team through and though have done a number on a lot of you this season! The standard is pretty damn high and to be honest is a far more interesting league.

There's some great football played outside the premiership, not just in the Championship either L1 and L2 are both great entertainment and you see some real skill, anyone who says otherwise has just been suckered in by the PL superiority complex, go out there and actually attend a lower league game and you might actually realise why hundreds of thousands of people do the same every saturday.

Actually i enjoyed it most in the (now) Blue Square Premier, it's not so much about money and you see some really high scoring games.

Not saying there aren't good games in the lower leagues, but last time I went to watch Southampton it was a pretty dire game, not much better than non-league standard (Salisbury City) and a world away from watching Arsenal. The standard had dropped immensely since their Premiership days.

Good atmosphere but considering the amount they charge (£24 or something) I wasn't overly impressed.

Get real guys, did he even play more than double figures for Spurs? After moving from another country?

Jebus

It was somewhat harsh, I admit. However, there is no way that a team potentially fighting for PL survival can afford a luxury player so I'm not sure how he will fit in the team if he can't adapt.

Massively disappointed that the 3 nominations for each of the 3 leagues (ch, l1 and l2) were all forward players. Not setting a great example for youngesters in my opinion.

On Taarabt, a couple of my QPR-supporting friends have all said that he's not been their best and/or most consistent player this season, he just has the ability to turn a game when it suits him.

toshj, I don't know what games your friends have been watching but he has been the best player over the season. Sure players like Derry have helped free him to play as he wants but 15 goals and 15 assists so far this season speaks for itself. I've not heard any other QPR fans either at games or on any forums say anyone else has been better. Paddy Kenny has been great as well though.

This is what I've been enjoying all season:

^^ nice

I think Adel will do well next season should the R's get promoted! I think he'll be like Charlie Adam!
I'm def going to go down and watch 'em :)

It's going to be nice to see the R's back in the big time, I just hope you can hold on to him! Do you think they'll splash the cash next season?

Yeah I sit just next to the directors in C block. Didn't go last night unfortunately though as our son is ill, but at least the game was on TV. :)

Adel is going for a scan due to stomach problems he's been having recently - hope he gets better soon!
