This is a long line, ~4-5 miles from the exchange, it used to be pretty stable. For the past few months, have been having multiple disconnects every day.

Does the same with BT HomeHub and DSL-N55U.

I think there may be a line problem as it's dropping far more often than you'd put up with.

Thanks

Quite a few HEC errors on the downstream. I'm not sure if that's just a feature of a longer line though. What's the uptime?

SNR looks fine to me .

Can you hear any noise on the phone line ?

You need to start running a monitoring program to record the line drops

There is no clue in the stats

Used to be maybe one drop a week or so, now it's multiple drops per day.

Hi Mine has been the same I didn't know if it was my router on the way out to be honest, I contacted my ISP and they have run a number of tests and cant find anything wrong with the line.

I have an Netgear DG834N I could try on the line, I just cant seem to port forward well on it for my CCTV system.

Any recommendations? I can use either a dsl-n55u or BT homehub3

Try runnning a quiet line test and listen for any noise (particularly crackling).

Dial 17070 (preferably from a corded phone) and then press Option 2. If there is noise, you have a phone line fault.

My stats are apparently very good for my distance from the exchange.
