the difference is just over £100 mark. for that 100 extra hes getting a
5870 over a 5850 and hes sitting nicely in the i7 region which is a better
place to be than the i5.

i know wer most ppl would rather be sitting.

and then u go onto say he can REPLACE the i5 with an i7 LOL

that graphics card seems pretty good value as you get 2 games too

is the ram exactly the same i.e. speed and build quality

another 20 quid off the system at this rate i'll have it down to 50 quid and i'll buy 2 lol

every guy now! who owns an i5 rig and 5850
would surly trade that in + £100 to get an i7 950 and 5870. surely surely.

@Joe

with that extra £20 willy has saved you. add that ontop of wot the sniper case
costed and that gives you £85 for a new case. make sure it can fit an 11" card

looks cool especially with the blue leds and i dont mind spending that little extra on a case as it will be on show

Good choice of case, will keep your system nice and cool.

Cases are personal preference so if you like that case go for it :D

Either way both cases are good. The only reason i prefer the Lancool is i think the HAF looks like a tank lol and that Lancool are owned by the best manufactures of cases...Lian Li. But antec are well known for there cooling

yea lol that setup is similar :)

Joe is going to come out "slightly" ontop tho because hes waiting
to get the ssd a little later and has got the 5870 in, over a 460
which is far nicer

Right hello again folks,

there has been a change of plan, i've decided against the i7 build and i am going along the i5 route instead (sorry jake) i just couldn't justify spending nearly £1200 on a pc.

anyway i've come up with another list i would like you guys to check out

i know there isn't a graphics card there as have no idea which one to get. for those of you who can't be bothered to read the whole thread build is for gaming use but no fps mainly rts and a bit of rpg

if you lot dont mind could someone please "spec me" a GPU

and if there is anything else at all i need that i have missed out for example any cables or extra fans could you please say and i'll do my best to add them

oh i dont plan on oc'ing for a few month so i'm just going to stick with the normal CPU cooler for now

EDIT: i'm planning on ordering this on friday morning
