Afghanistan - 20 years on

That seems to be the case, it complete warps people’s thinking on issues like this though as seen in both this thread and the SC thread. Any criticism of Biden no matter how valid still gets naively defended by some and one of the key go to lines is, essentially, “but Trump” as if that’s an excuse. I mean it’s a pretty low bar for comparison to begin with but it’s also just completely lame in general to pretend that Biden has had no agency here.
Its more disingenuous saying it was Bidins actions that brought us to this situation, it wasn't, this was well underway before he was even sworn in, it was previous administrations and this is Trumps legacy.
Sending Pence down to talk with the Taliban, making a "deal with them", the afghan Gov wanting the troops to leave so they could be seen to "Stand alone" without their help, then the Taliban laughing at Pence as he got on the plane like they would've stick to any deal they made.

The treatment Trump received from the media and corporations who control it is one of the most astounding things in modern history, at no point was there any objectivity, if the roles were reversed the media would be reporting Trump laughed at the dead soldiers or something outrageous. Currently the Taliban are allowed to use Twitter but Donald Trump may not.
You mean the biggest coperation of Murdoch that got him voted in in the first place lol? Trump had it VERY easy in terms of spotlight media, considering he gets to walk away from causing an insurrection.

I dont think people predicted this absolute mess to be fair.

Elect an idiot, get idiocy. That's surprising?

The problem is the anti-Trumpers couldn't bring themselves to accept that they were supporting a worse candidate, they just wanted rid of Trump due to their media driven derangement. The signs were all there people just refused to see it and stayed inside their media created bubble where Biden is the greatest candidate of all time and all of the dodgy stuff like him threatening Ukraine as VP to get rid of a prosecutor investigating his sons involvement in a (corrupt) company and his dodgy business dealings that the Hunter laptop exposed were called conpiracy theories.

Unless he can give any other reason which ive asked for several times then i dont see the issue with what this poster has said tbh. A nervous laughter isnt a reason as to why she is worse then Biden who I think we all agree has made an absolute mess of the whole thing.

Just imagine Harris trying to do a deal with Putin with that laugh she does a LOT.

I would read back a whole bunch of pages if I was you.

No one supports what happened at the capitol building, but Trump definitely did not tell people to do that or incite people to, he specifically told people to peacefully protest. You can't hold someone responsible for crimes committed that they didn't commit or incite, no one else is held to this ridiculous standard. If I hold a house party and tell people to go home, but instead 200 people decide to go smash up the local Police station, do I get arrested as well? You might be angry at me for holding the party, but I'm not responsible for other peoples actions.

lol..you tell yourself that, and skip all the stuff he told his supporters directly before it.

You’re best putting him on ignore. He’s arguing in this thread that peaceful protest is fine whilst simultaneously trying to argue in another that it’s not fine. He’s just contrary for the sake of it.

I mean it's caveated, right? I support free speech, but my position is also that you can't go into a crowded room and shout "Fire!". I support peaceful protest, but that has limits too, if you stand infront of a hospital blocking ambulances, is that still peaceful? If you stop supermarkets from receiving food deliveries by blocking the roads, still peaceful? People dying from not receiving medicine to the pharmacy, peaceful? Where's the line?

Those things are all peaceful. Stupid, but peaceful.

You would have to ask them.
The government docs have been posted.
They was working when covid stated...
What are they doing now? nothing...shop closed.

As said....read back.
Burden of proof is on you. You made the argument things would be better handled if they where still operating, so tell us how that would be?
They where always shutting up shop before things got ugly.

Trump wasnt acquitted, the Rep party stopped further prosecution.
I suppose he paid all his taxes as well.

lol..suppose Nixon was to completely be the sole reason for Vietnam lol.

What did he say before it? This is the "peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard" bit 50 secs in.

I don't like Trump (tired of saying this by now) but this whole event was a smear and was nothing compared to what some democrats were saying with regards to the protests.

What about lying for weeks on end that the election was stolen? This wasn't done in a vacuum.
