age of conan or world of warcraft?

Wasn't really though, and WoW still has the superior combat system even when it first came out.

i was refering to the whole lag / bugfest / class imbalances that comes with a new release

edit: My refering to D&D was not in terms of its mmo game but its pen and paper system.

eh? I too have played 70 priest on WoW, 30 priest of mitra on AoC and a 50 BM on Vanguard and tbh the difference between all the games combat for these classes is minimal... i.e. little boxes which activate moves pretty much consitisting of heals nukes cc and snares?

EDIT: You refering to the tedious mellee combat system on AoC? If so I see you point it is sssllllooooooowwwwww and clunky :)

Not too sure about the casting side of things but I just think WoW is much more fluid if you catch my drift. :)

Also I agree about the melee combat.

Seriously, you post in all the wow threads talking about the latest stuff in the game and your not even playing. You define the word 'Fan boi'.

I recall posting in this thread and maybe one to two others? And I maintain a knowledge of recent events because I have a lot of friends that still play WoW and I am interested in things that they spend their time doing.

You are quite possibly the lamest person I have ever met?

Everyone in this thread can see the hypocrisy of you calling anyone who enjoys WoW a 'fan boi' when you shout the praises of AoC from the rooftops and try to defame anyone's opinions if they do not agree with yours.

Sorry, when did we meet? You have serious reality issues

You STILL havent got the intelligence to go read my posts! You throw aquasations with no foundation.
1) I called no one a fan boi until you got 'all weird and freeky'. Then i just went along with it and got many laughs at your expence.
2) The views I posted were far from bias. I do my best not to compair the games (for reasons already explained) and say good/bad things about each game.

But you wouldnt know that coz you CANT READ.

This thread stopped going ages ago, when the fan bois invaded.

But your wrong, nwn pwns and its free to play online!

The analogy that someone made above, although they got it totally upside down, does make you tihnk. MMO's are just like a slot machine, you keep pumping time and money into them and dont get anything out. Madness. I really need to get back into free online games.

I'll do my best to ignore all the fail contained in your English but I'd like to know how you can say good and bad things about anything without comparing things?

The nature of something being good or bad relies on how it compares to other similar things regardless of whether they are new or old.

P.S. I suggest YOU haven't got the intelligence to read your own posts, otherwise you'd realise YOU were the person who started talking about 'fan bois'. If you had read your own you wouldn't be letting made up words like "aquasation" slip through your obviously highly intelligent mind.

Having to make a point of poor english, just because you have nothing else to add? You lose.

Let it die.

Why? Cancel them both, dont end up like certain people in this thread.
Really, ive taken my own advice (which I got from turning someone elses advice on its head). What do you get out of an mmo? Grind, grind, grind, its not a game thats fun to play is a god dam psychological experiment.

Before certain people fly off the handle, I dont just mean you besoted wow fan bois (which I now call them with coinfidence as they have earned it in this thread), its all pay to play mmo's.

I thought i was looking for a good mmo in AoC, it was better than wow by far but hey, I choose life... *Walks off, sligning bag of money over shoulder*

Best advice tbh, but easier said than done to follow it because, though we like to blame the games for being structured in order to promote repetitive grind and addictive patterns, we as people seem to have a predeliction towards addiction and mindless repetitive activity.

Look at Guild Wars - only online game ever structured to completely minimise grind and let you get into endgame pvp as soon as you wanted to, and a few months in the developers were astounded to discover that most players spent their time mindlessly farming gold or grinding for ectos and shards, so they decided to add MORE grind elements to the game and people were ecstatic!:o

Enjoying an MMO, and having life at the same time, are not mutually exclusive for everyone.

I've decided to play CS:S until WAR is released and if that fails to continue in the same vein as DAoC then I'll never play an MMO again.

AoC is class! I love it ... i played WoW and i find the combat system like any other MMO (the boring part) But AoC is like your actually fighting...

I cant understand how anyone can say its the part they hate as its the part that makes it for me. If the system wasnt so hands on then it would just be another crappy point and click.
