Should be pretty mad ! , can see a lot of people complaining about losing XP when they get ganked though, especially if a level 80 ganks their xp for the level away. To be honest I can see them taking out the xp loss somewhere down the road.

Should be crazy on the pvp servers though, people being killed left right and centre

Remember it's PvP xp you lose when killed and not normal xp. As far as i can make out there will be a mechanic to stop 80's ganking lvl 20's from them. Doesn't mean they won't be able to kill them, just that the low level won't lose ridiculous amounts of xp when that happens.

True, but lets face it, griefers dont care about the amount of xp the victim loses, they merely care that they are killing them over and over. Dont forget that back in the days of UO griefers would kill people who had nothing just for the sake of annoying them. Happens in all MMOs with FFA pvp, some people love to corpsecamp and kill someone over and over, regardless of whether they get anything out of it or not.

I can still foresee them eventually removing the xp loss, it may only be the minority who complain about it, but given the choice of removing the xp loss or losing the subscriber, it makes good financial sense to remove the xp loss.

Either way I cant say it bothers me, I started on the greatest MMO of them all (imo), UO..and when you died there you lost everything you carried, so to me even xp loss seems tame

See, I'm undecided about wether playing on a PVP server or a PVE server. Normally I roll PVE, I like to level, I like to get the equipment and whatever and I don't like to be killed repeatedly by some guy.

However, with Conan, it's sorta centered around that PVP aspect of MMOs, and so I don't know if I'd be missing out by rolling on a PVE server.

Convince me guys, to roll on an RP-PVP server :3

PVP always. If you enjoy PVP nothing beats world pvp. Besides ganking is only really a problem a)when your leveling b)you have a crap guild.

This game is nothing like wow, and it's sucks...
Wow is the best game ever, although its community ruins it!
I will just wait for warhammer to release!

I thought AoC was going to be a mostly PvE game with some optional mini-games for PvP? Whatever, I'll be going PvE again and don't plan on doing any PvP, kinda disappointed that the only RP servers will be PvP enabled.

Always a pvp server, I always find the PvE servers to be so meh, I end up bored on them after just a few weeks. PvP is where I will always be found

I guess it'll be a chance to try something new. I'm in two minds being on edge all the time, wondering whether I'm suddenly going to get some Assassin pop out of a tree while I'm in the middle of a fight.

I always go for PvP servers, whats the point of playing in a game where you can decapitate people in some places and not others. PvE servers will be boring without someone sneaking up behind you only to find you can give them an a** whoopin.

If some people are worried about ganking whilst levelling but still want PvP then a normal PvE server will be fine. The Border Kingdoms are PvP enabled areas. So you can go there whenever you want to, or is it level restricted?

I think more mmo games should have parts of the map where you become flagged for PvP throughout your characters progression, like Warhammer. Maybe with extra incentives to go there to encourage the less PvP inclined people, like more XP for any PvE content, better loot etc. I've never really liked the idea of splitting the player base right from the start into different rule set servers.

Yes we love trolls on this server, go back to WoW forums tbh.

WoW was good but has turned too easy now and is full of kids and bots.

26 days to go

I cant wait i cant decide between Guardian, Conqueor or Necromancer. Im going to join a rp-pvp server to get into the hyborian world a bit more and to keep the trolls and kiddies on the minimum.
