yea i know itll get fixed, so i just try and log in every 30mins or so, its not my loss if i cant get on, and im sure theyd prefered people didnt hammer the logins to kingdom come, i can wait patiently..
I find the game a little confusing in general beta at the mo.. dont like not starting near anyone :(
 
Lol don't worry about it, you're off the beach and into Tortage with everyone else by level 5. Just a shame that a lot of the time during 5 - 20 you're forced into the solo play night time quests as there arn't enough day time ones to get you to 20.
 
oh level5? im level 5 now.. but i killed the slave master guy (after it bugged and i couldnt hit him a few deaths..) and then ran along a bit and get the key, then theres another boss.. guess what, hes bugged and i cant hit him :(

Type /petition followed by your problem into the chat box, you'll be put in a queue and a GM will come help you when you get to the front of it. You usually don't have to wait long.
 
yes we have beta accounts..
You cant really judge a game by its closed betas..
read the thread you will get the jist of it.
 
im on the beta also, just got upgraded fro technical tester to general tester :D upto level 9 now a bit buggy but what do u expect from a beta? its shaping up nicely though few patches and bug fixes will really improve the game.

will play a bit more tomorrow, shame about the NDA or id post some screenies
 
Reporting bugs like a madman, hope they all get fixed for release.

The game is awesome, you actually have 'play' rather than pressing the same buttons in order over and over and over again.

Feels very involved and demanding, the I surprised they've stuck to the 'mortal kombat' idea this closely, manual-ish blocking, dodging and combos are great.

Can't wait for this, how many hear are likely to want a guild when they play?
 
yea the combat is fun.. altho iv only had 2 combos so far ;p its a lot more of a complex system than mmorpgs out at the mo, which is great.

about the fighting system how to fight and combos. so you hit first time and to make a combo you have to press mouse 1 in precision time like in witcher ?
 
Any news on Collector's Edition UK preorder? With the goodies of course.

And I can understand why people are annoyed when people break their beta testing contract - as it is a limited crowd who get into these betas, and those who want to, yet are forced to see people breaking them (and thus seeing them as unworthy to be in the beta) get annoyed at this.

I disagree. You can tell a lot by closed betas the game is due out 30 May. That only 70 days away. You telling me the game has not begun to get polished and ready for realise? We due a delay or are we going to pay to beta test like most mmos ?

Are they even going to do a stress test?

Or where you just talking about optimizing on different rig setups?

Nothing like that piece of pap, this game is good (yea, I hated The Witchers combat system, what of it?)

You have 5 directions q123e (well, three at the start, 123) activating a combo will show you the correct order to pull off this combo, and will result in a certain effect, knockback, stuns, etc.

You can use q123e in between combos, as a normal attack.

You also get three shields, which can be positioned left, right or middle, each reduces damage taken to that area, for example assassins combos tend hit the middle line of the body, near the organs, so putting all 3 in the middle will save you taking a huge amount of damage from combos, but will weaken your defences each side for when you get hit from normal attacks.

All this info is the numerous videos, have a look at the GDC '08 vids, well worth a watch.

I think the simpsons got it spot on with the guy who owns the comic books. I've met a lot of MMO players just like that character and MMO forums are full of those characters.

I'm interested in this Conan though, sounds interesting.

I heard about it from my guild last year but I'm not with them anymore and haven't heard anything since :(

Basically the NDA's are to stop game magazines and major online from publishing full articles and rating games based on BETA versions.

The fully expect joe public to come to forums and talk about the game. It's free publicity.
