Age of Conan

At the end of the month im upgrading but for now i have:
Q6600 2.4ghz unclocked
3GB DDR2 ram
8400 gs 256mb overclocked quite a lot

So do you reckon i'll be able to play AOC on the lowest settings with a playable framerate like 40 FPS?
 
from what iv seen.. no.

a lot of people are strugglin gettin that FPS anyway but its mostly down to shadow I think, but they are using things that **** on the 8400GS

My system is specced in my Sig and i get around 10 - 55 FPS. its a big swing and i tend to find the 10 - 20 fps region in the City when there is a lot going on and then 30 - 55fps in the less busy area's.

I get the feeling though that once i move out the starting city after level 20 i may end up finding things get worse but who knows.

So i guess you're machine spec looks good with the exception of the GPU. My friends runs a similar spec with an 8800 GT 512MB and he says he has no problems.

But as mentioned above i would turn the shadows off. Im currently running on Medium Setting with shadows turned off.

Your graphics card is a bit on the pap side according to benchmarks but it's well above the minimum specs range. Plus your CPU is a beast so that should help. I reckon, like everyone else, you'll struggle in town and get decent framerates outside.

Using Mirage, haven't tried the other 2. I will though, I love the smaller skillbars of Mirage.

Question though: how do you assign hotkeys to the additional skillbars? What are they called in the Controls menu of the options so I know how to assign keys to them?

Oh, and does anyone use the combat rose? It looks cool but I've found no use for it.
 
Yeah, that graphics card will be slowing up the rest of your components big time. Try and stretch to an 8800GT at some point, it will make a huge difference.
 
I have been playing this for a week now and I am loving it. so nice to have a real MMO again, WoW has its good points but I love being able to kill people when I want and who I want. None of this carebear RvR rubbish where you can't even speak to the enemy and guilds have NO purpose.

Level 32 Soulstorm PvP server.

in game name is killa.

Im buying a 4870 when they come out or possibly a 3870x2 so hopefully i can run it for the time being.
WTF !!!! it came today from **** in 1 day its meant to be 3-5 days :D :D :D :D
