It’s a good price, especially from Amazon. I’m happy with my AirPods gen3 and I don’t have any need for over-ear headphones.

I'm hoping that by the time my Bose QC35 IIs die, the AirPod Max 2 will be out with some of the first-gen issues resolved (like a proper travel case instead of the handbag).

Finally did that this morning, they asked me to take them to a store to be inspected.

I wonder what options I'll be offered, I have no other issues with them apart from the elastic on the headband is extremely tired. It's frustrating that it's not easy to change.

Pretty poor from apple if thats true, the original airpods max came out in 2020 I believe, 4 year wait for just a small iteration?

There’s only so much you can do with headphones within a given price point.

Of course, Im not expecting a lot but I want to see an improvement in Sound quality and ANC.. But the rumours suggest that thats not going to happen despite it being 4/5 years old at this point

aren’t they already class leading in ANC and sound quality? Pretty sure the HomePods were updated after 5 years and all they did was remove a tweeter and add a humidistat.

but it just seems baffling why a 4/5 year old product gets updated but almost nothing has changed?

It's Apple, it's how they do things. They will upgrade it, but it will be incremental. It's the same as most technology now, we are at the peak of the curve.

may as well get the normal ones because apparently the next iteration is going to be identical with zero changes being made, which is acceptable according to some of the posts im seeing

No one said it’s acceptable, it’s just how Apple does things.
