I've done it. But I needed to cut away a lot of the hard drive cage fixings for the barbs.

Got to keep the bottom DVD drive bay too.

little update to my case (also in my project log with a bit more detail)

incase you cant notice

motherboard tray has been sprayed black and glossed, sata cables been changed to go with my theme graphics, 4 + 24 pin power plugs will be hidden next weekend

Thanks for that! What exactly are those yellow cables? What have you got them plugged into on the board I couldnt figure it out?
Have you painted pci slots on your board, they look like they are uv as well

There just the case cables and also the fan cables have been sleeved too

How did you get on M8.

Yeah, the connectors for the front panel on the case. There's a HDD LED and a HDD LED2. I assumed that they corresponded to the 2 HDD leds on the front of the case. My motherboard is a GA-965P-DS3.

Count me in - my PC is housed in an Eclipse too!

Here are some pictures... They aren't great, I know.




It's the best case I have ever had. My e6600 CPU idles at under 30°C, it looks nice (the photos don't do it justice) and it's massive. With a modular PSU you can keep the cables really tidy (see my pics) as well. Specs are in my signature.

Just a little bit of info, a few years back the Eclipse 62 was also sold as the "Savrow SR-71 Blackbird".

Looks pretty cool with the UV cables. Where did you get them from, especially the braided ones?

You can buy the braided sleeves on there own, very effective visually..

Hi Guys,
Is it possible to replace the side panel window? Or can any of you reccomend the best way to clean it? no matter how hard I try it just looks super foggy under uV lights

Might be as simple as changing the polish you are using to clean your perspex window, some are more wax based than others, I have found Pledge to be the best at not smearing or leaving any residue on windowed surface's...Hope this helps.. P.S Excellent Set-up..

apart from bungee mod, any of you guys found good ways to silence your hard drives? any one used an icy dock internal enclosure ? they cut the sound out ?

Just rubber grommets, seems to work... Rapters I believe are much louder, this has put me off in buying one.

Where are you getting the top hard drive mount from?

Sad to say I'll be ditching my Eclipse soon for a Lian Li

The top HDD mounts are pre-installed in all Akasa Eclipses/Mirage.

No idea at the moment am currently [email protected] ghz stock voltage 25c the accelero is the dogs though even an 800 rpm fan keeps a gt idle at 35c gaming at 40c and 3dozone test 46c.
